Unbelievable. You are an episode of fucking Commentocracy waiting to happen.
I do agree that games have become easier in general and itās probably due to people crying about things being too hard. There is a reason you have a fucking blue shell in the recent Mario Karts but the most devastating weapon back in SMK was the lightning bolt. Thereās a reason they give you 3 fucking red shells now a days and unlimited mushrooms for a period of time and back in SNES they gave you one red shell and one mushroom.
And these types of changes have ruined franchises to me. Itās the reason I donāt really like Mario Kart anymore compared to back in the day. The challenge is what made the game fun to me, but when the challenge was hardly there and dumbed down, with so much random shit you canāt control, it ruined it for me.
I can still play the recent ones and have fun, and I own MK8D on Switch, but I just canāt take it too serious and itās more of a party game than anything else. It canāt be as competitive as the old ones due to the BS weapons, and the drifting takes way less skill now than it used to.
/old man rant
See, this is why Super Mario Maker is so fucking awesome. You can find some BULLSHIT hard levels if thatās what you want. Or if you want to take it nice and easy, thatās cool, too. But the best part is that you can even MAKE your own levels as hard or as easy as you want, and then share them.
My goal with SMM2 is to finally get down some of the kaizo moves. Thereās basic stuff like shell jumps and spring jumps, etc. But I want to be able to do some mid-airs and frame jumps and shit like that. Iāve always fancied myself a decent Mario player, but those are all next-level inputs. Gonna be putting in that time!
Quoted for emphasis.
Games arenāt made for everyone. Save the crying and go play some telltale garbage.
This dude actually quoted himself. Shouldnāt you be in the lab on a leaked copy of Samurai Shodown or something, Dark Geese?
Games are tough (No Hope-o).
I want to win by pressing Stsrt.
Man hell yeah. Iām interested in seeing what people have done with the New Super Mario Bros. engine as well. The momentum is totally different and the wall sliding and jumping could make for some weird shit.
I think an even bigger factor for easier games and hand-holding is because gaming has become such a huge form of entertainment, so there are many more types of people playing the games, from kids, to casuals, to hobbyists, to hardcore, to pro level. Itās a much bigger industry than it was in 1985.
Another reason why itās nice to see a company make something without an easy-mode. Almost as if itās a shout out to those who came before.
You know you could do what I do. Accept that some games arenāt for and stick to games you enjoy. The only Souls game Iāve plaid is Demon Souls. Havenāt picked up Nioh or Sekiro. Some games are meant to be unforgiving. If you canāt enjoy them as intended, there are hundreds of other games out there.
That is literally exactly what I do.
That and their TOS have some disturbing conditions
As hard as Dead Cells is Iām surprised that game got so much love. But Iām glad it did because without the hype I never would have known about it.
Iāve put a lot of time into Dead Cells. Way more than expected. Once Iām through with Sekiro I need to check out the update.
Then why the back and forth over difficult titles with Eskills.
Because āhardcore gamerā tears nourish me.
Thatās not what heās being though?
Look, Stu, youāre my boy, but I really donāt think weāre going to see eye to eye on this. Pretty sure your definition of āhardcore gamerā differs from mine.
But Iām playing the game and enjoying it.
Fucking lol. I donāt complain about games being easy or dumbed down. Donāt wish soft as baby shit scrubs like yourself would stop playing the things I like. Not stroking my e-peen and saying Iām better than people playing pattycake mode.
All I really said was easy mode crying is pathetic and said crying has changed gaming. Those are facts. Like wtf?

Apparently the exclusivity contract with EGS is only 6 months as compared to the year contracts theyāve been signing with other devs. So thatās good news, I guess?
