Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

Hell I’ve accepted that hard games don’t get made anymore. I ran through DMC5 on DMD like it wasn’t shit. Thought it was disappointing, but I enjoyed it and moved on.

I don’t care bout easy mode or that developers make games for me, but to say all the easy mode bitching hasn’t had an effect on gaming is bullshit.

Their launcher isn’t ready for prime time. A recent update added a search bar. It will take months for it to have a shopping cart function. It’s missing the most basic things an online store needs.

I mean…it’s called a demographic for a reason. Some shit just isn’t made for you in mind. It’s not excluding for the sake of not caring about your “feelings” or whatever. It’s excluding you because you are not the target audience. This goes for literally every form of media and shopping trends

I’m all for inclusion. But thinking everything should be made or altered to appease you? That’s horse shit.

I never said it didn’t. I just think it’s a positive effect. If Bloodborne had had an easy mode, I probably would still have gotten the platinum trophy without it. The only difference is that more people would have had the opportunity to enjoy the game for all the other positive traits it has.

Then again, I didn’t get that plat on blood level 4 using only left hand punches, so I guess my opinion is invalid.

I’ve got no problems with tiered difficulties if a game comes packaged with them. Look at DOOM (all of them) God of War, etc. I like to play those games on a harder difficulty, and I can respect that there are other easier modes for others to enjoy the way they want to. And good on id and Sony Santa Monica for developing games that can be inclusive for all types of players.

What I have a problem with is when a company makes a game like Sekiro with the intent that there is only one difficulty, and people get all up in arms and offended because they don’t want to put the time into learning the game. Tough shit. I commend FromSoftware for sticking to their guns. You don’t like it, go play something else. This game obviously wasn’t designed for you.

There’s a lot more to it than that. But it gets kind of messy once you add people’s personal motivations and all that jazz.

But I don’t really like fan service and I don’t really like gore. there are a few times when they’re fun to me, but they are far and apart. Stuff like DoA and Mortal Kombat are just not for me. That’s fine. I don’t want those games to change.

On the other hand, I really love platforming; even more so trying to do wacky movement in Metroidvania games and dying. It would suck a whole lot of ass if games like Guacamelee and others started taking away all of those movement options I love playing with because people complained it was too hard for them. Because at that point I’m losing out on something I enjoy.

I don’t want to take away the stuff people like and I certainly don’t want it taken away from me for seemingly bullshit reasons. I already had enough of that in M:TG, it is trash there and its trash everywhere it happens.

Action Game Tierlist:

S: Ninja Gaiden II
A: Bayo 1, Ninja Gaiden Sigma/Razors Edge
B: Everything Else

Shit: MG Revengence

Was about to make a long write up, screw that.

Fuck all that inclusion noise. Bloodborne doesn’t have a difficult bone in its fucking body. Gtfo

I have a PS4, too, man.

I’m still buying Borderlands 3 on PC, all stuff aside with EGS.

Oh I know. It just seems from recent discussions regarding Borderlands you were meaning more on the PC side

ohhhh and it just gets more juicy as time goes on…

It became clear pretty damn fast that the people that truly made Bioware great years ago…they also moved on a long time ago.

It would be like if all the guys from…let’s say Aerosmith moved on…leaving a totally new crew of people who’ve never performed or even produced a song before calling themselves “Aerosmith”… most people would agree that’s not the real Aerosmith, man. haha and the hardcore fans would probably even be offended that the record company has the gall to call those new chumps “Aerosmith”.

Borderlands 3—yep definitely sold on it immediately… for console of course… probably XB1.

If Gearbox wanted to make Borderlands 3 a console exclusive, they could have just said so.

Rewind to gamefaqs days when peeps were bitching that Ninja Gaiden easy mode wasn’t easy enough.

Fuck people lol.

BioWare is the same company by name only. The guys and gals that made BioWare great have been long gone.

They’re no different than Rare now.

IE the parent company relies on the reputation the company they bought had to peddle their shit of the present. And when that game fails they have a scapegoat so the parent company isn’t blamed.

I’ve seen your kind before. You probably never played half the games you claim are effortless. Even if you have, though, why don’t you just play Kaizo Mario or something? Lemme guess, that’s also an easy game for SJW cucks.

Can’t do it.

Won’t do it.

Fuck the Epic Store, and fuck trying to force exclusivity onto the PC market.

I remember the Ninja Gaiden reboot made you wear a purple ribbon for playing on easy mode. At least it gave you some enhanced abilities

Bitch I still got a 360 just to fire up Ninja Gaiden II and razors edge. (Backwards compatibility when MS???)

Don’t ever try to throw dirt on how much I stan for Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta. I also plat Nioh, bloodborne, every dark souls, working on Sekiro and will come back to DMC5. Step off.

Remember when NSMBWii released with a “guide mode” to help you get through “difficult” levels? When that was first revealed, I just shook my head in disgust. Then I thought maybe if they include something like that, perhaps that will allow them to make some truly hard levels.

But, nah.

I love the game, and there are a couple spots that could be considered a little on the difficult side (a certain ice level with fire breathing piranha plants comes to mind, but that’s it really), but including that guide kinda weakened the game for me in the long run. Shit got annoying.
