There were companies in the earlier days of mobile gaming that all they did was make knockoffs of famous games. Blizzard should just
put that lawsuit money into making a better game and it would give everyone reason to not download the other game.
I actually bought a bottle of Dramamine and it helped me a bit but I think I might have worse than normal motion sickness as far as VR games go. 
On a separate note I will add that it sucks to see something you like morph into something else. I thought it sucked when final fantasy 15 switched to real time because not only did the combat kinda suck it also signaled the end of high budget turn based not named dragon quest from square Enix probably forever. So I do feel for the people that really loved the brawling aspect of yakuza
Change isnāt automatically bad. Yakuza has done the same exact shit for what, over ten games now? I mean yeah theyāve evolved the expirience with each game, but things need to move past their former conventions to see if thereās room for growth. Shit, God Of War (2018) is the most critically acclaimed and most purchased game in the franchise. Thatās insane considering not only how vastly different it is, but also how WILDLY successful the previous 5 games were.
Canāt co-sign this sentiment, chief. Iāve seen literally dozens upon dozens of games improve dramatically because of their equally dramatic shift in design.
(Also 15ās combat was fantastic when it worked, one of the more fleshed out portions of the game if you ask me.)

Yea I liked 15s combat. I can always play the 30 previous turn based ones whenever I want.

That is a bit of an overstatement. I can understand their desire to take a breather and hope they come back with an even bigger, more location varied, more fully featured, and badass version of Yakuza 5. I want to fight more animals and end fights by rolling punks into snowmen again. I also want to play as Segata Sanshiro!

yakuza has always been wack since yakuza 1.

You would only see that statement as bait, if you 1.) disagree, and 2.) believe your differing opinion is fact. The latter is a huge problem here. And with most people.
I donāt fuck with turn based. I feel like you could just show me the cut scenes in a turn based game, and that would be the same amount of gameplay as actually playing it, minus walking the character to destinations.

The comparison between Yakuza and Sleeping Dogs has never made much sense to me. Might as well compare Call of Duty to Splatoon.

Well thatās just fucking silly. If you sit there and make no decisions during combat then nothing will happen and youāll either die, or just sit there forever with no forward progression as the game waits for you to make a decision.
Itās one thing to dislike that style of gameplay and another to pretend it doesnāt exist.
Agreed. I finished Sleeping Dogs where as every Yakuza I have tried has literally put me to sleep.

Never tried that one as I didnāt like any of the previous I had tried. Not about spending money on stuff over and over that I havent liked.
Iām weird when it comes to Yakuza. I fucking love the story, the characters, the lore, etc. I just donāt like how the game plays.
I havenāt tried the game in over 10 years though. I remember my girlfriend at the time was obsessed with the Yakuza series and Musou titles. She got me into musou games through Sengoku Basara (Capcom plz bring the others state side. You fucks). I couldnāt really get into the Yakuza series from a gameplay stand point though. Loved literally everything else though.
All that said. My gaming tastes have changed a lot since then. Which is why Iām excited about the Remaster bundles and Like a Dragon. Iām more than willing to try the games again.
As a newbie who has only played Y0, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2, Y0 in both story and gameplay was such a fun experience. Both Kiryu and Majima are equally represented in the story and amount of gameplay is roughly equal.The changeable 4 fighting styles was pretty cool and HEAT moves are fun no matter how many times you do them.
I was dismayed that Kiryu was the main character and Majima is a recurring character who is generally not playable Y0 did its job too well lol.
Kiwami 1 was the least impressive since there its based on a 14 yr old game and there is a lot of fetch quests.Also some of the bosses (esp the last ones) are a little cheap and you get knocked down by the slightest insult. A bullet or a falling leaf knocks you down and it takes ages to get up.
Kiwami 2 had a great story and the best graphics. Ryuji was the best villain and it was nice to have a female character integral to the plot besides Haruka. I miss the changing fight styles but ah well.
Y0 - 9/10
Kiwami 1 - 8/10
Kiwami 2 - 8.5/10
Y0 and Kiwami 1 are $20 on most physical stores now. I would try Y0 if you are new or are a lapsed fan.
