Well RGG’s creator said they will go back to the brawler gameplay if this doesn’t workout, and they recently thanked fans on twitter for their harsh comments.
Sounds like they were ready for the blowback. Nagoshi said he understood the complaints but doesn’t intend to release a boring product. Don’t have a reason to doubt him.
Crazy for sure. Hope they go all-out on the arcade.
Never tried any of the older titles, but, they’re definitely slow burn games. Can’t really fault anyone for not wanting to sit through the first 2 hours waiting for the story to REALLY pick up.
Sleeping Dogs however starts out pretty bombastic and throws you into the open world fairly quickly, but I would argue it sacrifices a compelling story with amazing characters like Yakuza has. There’s also just a certain novelty to the open worlds in Yakuza. There’s so much to do, you can get lost for hours just doing the dumbest random shit and I love that.
Personally just love the hell out of the combat too, especially in 0. Think it was 0 at least… The one where Kiryu is being framed for murder or some shit.
Yea sorry, don’t want to drink with my Cabby boss.
Don’t get me wrong I’m fine with change. And everything you said I’d pretty much agree with. I was just saying I can see why some people are frustrated. A lot of the stuff like heat attacks make sense for a turn based now their probably selectable and I’d imagine theirs moves that incorporate the whole party. Also I always thought the hits feel soft or shallow in ff15 like everything is no selling my attacks.
That’s so common in action rpgs that its more a genre trope then a mistake on 15s part.
Shang Tsung and Scorpion actors revealed for mk reboot movie
Chin Han and Hiroyuki Sanada
Edit: I really feel like they are trying really hard with this cast right now. Everyone I’ve heard so far sounds solid. I just want to know the script looks like and how Hollywood somehow fucks it up. I’m hoping not though.
The guy that played Shang tsung in mk2 should’ve seeked the role.
that’s true i cant lie it doesn’t feel like your hitting shit in ys either but at least those niggas have the decency to act like their getting hit most enemies in ff15 don’t give a fuck.
Similarly I have finished every True Crime game, but Sleeping Dogs just puts me to sleep. Though I must admit the idol section in Yakuza 5 had me leaving the room and playing something else on another device with my back to the screen and I had that shit on mute the whole time. Fuck that noise and the mandatory dance training bullshit. Unless I am bounty hunting the idol cunts I don’t want to see that shit.
Though I must admit that I spend entire sessions in Yakuza not doing any story objectives and just playing around with weapons and skills while fooling around with nearby side missions and mini games. I almost don’t want to move the story along because I will be forced to do something completely linear for an unknown period of time.
It is not so much about the destination as it is the journey for me.
Yakuza has more idol karaoke in it then Sleeping Dogs does lol.
I don’t know about idol karaoke, but I will take weird MTV stuff like:
over terrible covers of decent songs like:
I will admit that I play Karaoke minigames only when necessary and don’t really find any enjoyment in them.
Can’t stop laughing at this
Reminds me of the Bob Hopkins Mario from the Super Mario Movie
I think Bob Hopkins played a better Mario than Lou Albano.
Thant said John Leguizamo was the WORST people who ever played Luigi EVER.
Danny Wells is still the Best Luigi
You say this like it’s a bad thing.
It is. Karaoke minigames fucking suck.
Not when Yakuza does it.
Doubt.
If the homies don’t roll up with you like this
They ain’t squad
