Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

The fact that you are comparing this system with “cheating” shows that there is an issue with the revival system.

No issue with the system, u just blatantly admitted you are greedy and took the easy route. They put that feature in for casuals or ppl or suck at these sort of games🤷🏾

I never paid the scrub tax when I played DMC5. I cared about my style rankings.

DMC3 had Gold Orbs, you could do the exact same thing in 3, they just gave out less of them. You could still easily buy one and use it to cheese through chapter 20 which is nothing but the boss fight, just like in 5. The paid red orbs are new but that’s just bypassing the shop imo.

Every DMC game be cheesed, you can literally farm out untouchables using NG+ runs in DMC1 to cheese out DMD mode, I still wouldn’t call the game easy.

Bayonetta is more appealing to me than DMC was. I like the designs more and overall presentation.

I am kinda there. I love the art direction and music in Bayonetta. DMC I rarely like the music in, but 1 and 5 is really good in that aspect. Art direction in DMC1 is probably my fav of the series but Bayonetta is closer to that end anyway, which makes sense. I think DMC5’s overall presentation is really great though

I prefer DMC slightly since im so invested in the characters/story. But honestly, Bayonetta is just as good. Mostly preference

I’d love a crossover game one day

A lot of Bayonetta’s presentation and music is embarrassing, and the story (not that I give much of a damn about that in an action game) is complete messy dogshit- way worse than even Ninja Gaiden levels of buffoonery. The only thing I liked about it artistically was the warped angel designs. I still really enjoy playing it, but I have always felt that it’s overrated by people looking for geek cred.

What about people who don’t give a fuck about “geek cred” whatever the fuck that is.

Its a way for people that gate keep fandoms to feel good about themselves. Literally everyone is guilty of it at one point or another.

“Oh you got into x during the Y period? That’s cute. I’ve beem around since the A period”

Stupid shit like that.

I catch myself doing it all the time with marvel comic movies, wrestling and tmnt. I’ve gotten much better about it though.

I try to educate more than invalidate. Doesn’t always come out that way though. :joy:

Sounds fucking stupid.

It is. But like I said, everyone is guilty of it at some point. Even if you’ve done it indirectly or without realizing it.

Maybve. I’ve never liked something so that other people will like me to, or think I’ve some kind of cred for liking the thing. I like what I like and I don’t care if you chuckle fucks agree or not at the end of the day.

I don’t gate keep either so I can’t say I feel that one either.

It makes him feel strange things.

I’m not big on fanservice so a lot of Bayonetta is shrugs to me.

Sure, and I can get that even though I don’t care either way, but he said the MUSIC is embarrassing.

I’ll admit I have more fun playing Bayonetta because Witch Time, parries, and enemies being far more active. That being said, the protagonist in DMC has much more of a cool factor and the story is a bit more coherent.

DMC3 is my favorite overall with Bayonetta 2 and DMC5 being the better to technically play.

I hope in Bayonetta 3 we get the Sai-Fung (gun-chucks) back.

Whaaaat, nah, Bayo1 has the more technical play compared to 2. Bayo2 revolves way too much around Umbran Climax and normal Witch Weaves are way too nerfed, so there isn’t even much purpose to dodge offset. Enemies also can just break out of combos for free, for no reason in 2. I love a lot about 2, but the combat balance is weaker.

I can see your point there especially when it comes to offsetting. When I played through 1 again, it felt a bit stiffer, but definitely still enjoyed it.
