Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

Two button throws (no OS) alongside recovery frames and throw teching makes more sense now when most fighters are heavily skewed towards pressure games.

However, strong throws make more sense in games where defense is strong (which includes a lot of older games).

This is why it makes sense that Samurai Shodown does not have throw teching (including the new one). For some characters, throwing can be the only way to open someone up if they turtle hard (also, the fact that throws in modern SamSho act more like guard breaks, that don’t really deal damage, but leave the opponent open to follow ups).

BRUH How can you not like this:

That stage is arguably the best stage in 3S. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Rainy Street (Yun/Yang stage) is its only competition.

Oh, also, if you’ve been waiting on getting REmake 2 it’s $39.99 at Select retailers. Sale on it ends 4/14

It’s also on sale at Walmart but it’s sold out for PS4 online so it doesn’t show the discount price.

It’s also on sale at GameStop but for xbonex only which is lol.

The problem with the 3s roster is that some of the weaker characters are just crappier versions of the better ones. Like why would you play Elena when you could play Chun for instance? Probably 1/2 to 1/3 of the cast in that game is junk which is why you see the same characters all the time. The lower tiers are so bad in the game there’s no reason to play them if you’re trying to be competitive.

I actually fucking hate stage, it’s one of the absolute worst in the entire series. Its all so fucking red and orange and awful.

Theme is catchy tho.

Has a more viable cast then trash ass 2nd Impact does tho which is what brought it up. At least he didn’t say New Generation.

I think Second Impact has better music and stages than Third Strike. That’s all it has over Third.

Seriously I really do not get the hype with DMC5, I finished it but it was rather bland. Stages are very uninspiring apart from the beginning and I never really “died” in the game since I had Gold Stones and copious amounts of orbs. I mean yes I can chose to die and retry to give a challenge to myself but when the system encourages you to revive… then I’ll take it I guess. Bosses were also not that impressive.

Bayonetta is a vastly superior game. DMC 3 > DMC 1 > DMC 4 > DMC 5 > DMC 2. Very disappointing.

Not since DMC1 has the default difficulty, the first run, been very hard. You have to play later difficulties for that. Not that it was very hard in DMC1 either though

Bayonetta makes no sense unlike Devil May Cry. Also, the protagonist for Bayonetta is repulsive in terms of behaviour.

P.S. Low Tier in Second Impact is better than low tier in Third Strike and high tier in Third Strike is better than high tier in Second Impact. Most stages are a downgrade as there is a clash of art styles but the quality of the audio is comparable.

Then don’t use the gold orbs. Game doesn’t encourage you to use them, it offers them as an option. You taking them is all on you, the game actively punishes you for using them with less chapter bonus rewards so i dunno why anyone would say you’re encouraged to use them. I have 30 gold orbs, have used none of them.

I don’t even understand how you can say DH isn’t tough when you have been continuing to proceed. That’s like saying arcade games are easy cuz you can quarter feed them

Of course the game isnt challenging when u use a handicap like gold orbs. Play that shit without, DMC5 becomes twice as hard

What kind of nonsense? Lol

I mean it’s like if you have infinite quarters. It removes the excitement of potentially losing, unlike previous DMC games. If a boss beats you then you have to restart. Gold Orbs or not you can revive with red orbs.

For example in Sekiro if you die then there are consequences. Yes I know you lose ranking in DMC but if you don’t give a shit about that (i don’t) then what does it matter. In Sekiro though I do care about dying cause I will lose experience, people will get infected with dragonrot and etc.

I remember back in DMC 3 how I got my ass kicked by Vergil at the end of the game and had to restart a few times. It’s not the case anymore purely because you have this shitty system they implemented akin to a mobile game. Leave that shit out of console games.

And yes it’s on me that I’m choosing to use the system but I guess it’s due to my greedy nature, you give me something and I will use it.

But a part from the system no one can tell me for sure that they’ve put a lot of efforts into creating those fucking Qliphoth stages over and over throughout the whole game.

That is exactly what I was asking myself when I played Bayonetta.

So really DMCV I decently tough you just don’t have a problem with cheesing your way through it?

Apart from what I stated above (I edited) , it’s more like at that point I just wanted to finish the game for the sake of finishing it because I didn’t enjoy it that much.

Yeah, THAT. I knew the cheat codes to GTA back in the day, still didnt use them til I beat the game first because it would cheapen the experience😂
