Two button throws (no OS) alongside recovery frames and throw teching makes more sense now when most fighters are heavily skewed towards pressure games.
However, strong throws make more sense in games where defense is strong (which includes a lot of older games).
This is why it makes sense that Samurai Shodown does not have throw teching (including the new one). For some characters, throwing can be the only way to open someone up if they turtle hard (also, the fact that throws in modern SamSho act more like guard breaks, that donât really deal damage, but leave the opponent open to follow ups).
The problem with the 3s roster is that some of the weaker characters are just crappier versions of the better ones. Like why would you play Elena when you could play Chun for instance? Probably 1/2 to 1/3 of the cast in that game is junk which is why you see the same characters all the time. The lower tiers are so bad in the game thereâs no reason to play them if youâre trying to be competitive.
Seriously I really do not get the hype with DMC5, I finished it but it was rather bland. Stages are very uninspiring apart from the beginning and I never really âdiedâ in the game since I had Gold Stones and copious amounts of orbs. I mean yes I can chose to die and retry to give a challenge to myself but when the system encourages you to revive⌠then Iâll take it I guess. Bosses were also not that impressive.
Bayonetta is a vastly superior game. DMC 3 > DMC 1 > DMC 4 > DMC 5 > DMC 2. Very disappointing.
Not since DMC1 has the default difficulty, the first run, been very hard. You have to play later difficulties for that. Not that it was very hard in DMC1 either though
Bayonetta makes no sense unlike Devil May Cry. Also, the protagonist for Bayonetta is repulsive in terms of behaviour.
P.S. Low Tier in Second Impact is better than low tier in Third Strike and high tier in Third Strike is better than high tier in Second Impact. Most stages are a downgrade as there is a clash of art styles but the quality of the audio is comparable.
Then donât use the gold orbs. Game doesnât encourage you to use them, it offers them as an option. You taking them is all on you, the game actively punishes you for using them with less chapter bonus rewards so i dunno why anyone would say youâre encouraged to use them. I have 30 gold orbs, have used none of them.
I donât even understand how you can say DH isnât tough when you have been continuing to proceed. Thatâs like saying arcade games are easy cuz you can quarter feed them
I mean itâs like if you have infinite quarters. It removes the excitement of potentially losing, unlike previous DMC games. If a boss beats you then you have to restart. Gold Orbs or not you can revive with red orbs.
For example in Sekiro if you die then there are consequences. Yes I know you lose ranking in DMC but if you donât give a shit about that (i donât) then what does it matter. In Sekiro though I do care about dying cause I will lose experience, people will get infected with dragonrot and etc.
I remember back in DMC 3 how I got my ass kicked by Vergil at the end of the game and had to restart a few times. Itâs not the case anymore purely because you have this shitty system they implemented akin to a mobile game. Leave that shit out of console games.
And yes itâs on me that Iâm choosing to use the system but I guess itâs due to my greedy nature, you give me something and I will use it.
But a part from the system no one can tell me for sure that theyâve put a lot of efforts into creating those fucking Qliphoth stages over and over throughout the whole game.
Apart from what I stated above (I edited) , itâs more like at that point I just wanted to finish the game for the sake of finishing it because I didnât enjoy it that much.
