I just clicked on the links posted here. Didn’t see the announcment. Guess it was just a response to the outcry. Seems like over reaction to me which is pretty typical for the modern day gaming land scape.
Devs signing with Epic Store is perplexing to me. Like I understand that they get a bigger cut of sales from that store. But it’s pretty moot when no one wants to buy your games from that store. So they aren’t getting shit anyways.
Yea I wish gamers would just do this instead of throwing hissy fits. Just don’t buy from there so the bigger cut ends up not being worth it to the devs.
GoG has the best policies, but the lack of a purchasable funds card and lack of certain titles I desire makes it inconvenient for me. I just buy and download a game on Steam and crack it to remove the DRM trash.
However, if Virtua Fighter 6 was hypothetically Epic Store exclusive I would buy it there.
P.S. The new version of Under Night In-Birth seems lacking in new assets. In the last revision they added Enkidu (Anime Geese Howard) and Phonon (Persona-like Whip Girl), which for me are the only reasons to play the game at all, but I don’t see anything major to inspire me to support the new release.
