Denying the role Capcom has been on lately is just blind hatred.
Only blemish they really had lately is SF5 (which I personally enjoy but whatev). MvC Infinite (which is actually solid gameplaywise and not really their fault if you do the research)
At this point, all they need to do is make sure SF6 is respectable and they’re pretty much in the clear
In my ideal dream world where all the stars have aligned: Marvel has acquired the rights to X Men characters and has been working behind the scenes with Capcom to put out Marvel 4, which gets an announcement this year at Evo.
Lost Planet will be a hard fix. Each of the main games is so radically different from one another how exactly does Capcom right the ship? Personally I would like to see a return to the style of Lost Planet 2.
Completely agree with Dead Rising. They fucked it up with 3. Didn’t play 4 but what I’ve seen of it hasn’t been good.
I thought Lost Planet taking a turn towards survival horror with the third game was a really interesting way to evolve the franchise. But the execution was lacking and didn’t pan out.
Ideally yeah, I’d love to see a more Monster Hunter style LP like the second game. Shit, just port that game over to PS4 with online and I’ll definitely buy it again.
I’m guessing those games didnt meet Capcom sales expectations so they didn’t bring em back yet. I always say, vote with your wallet if you want results from these companies
I hope for my brother’s sake that its better as Sekiro sucks balls (courtesy of FromSoftware’s backwards design mantras) and I am not into space sci-fi.
