Some dumbass decided that new posters should be limited to 3 posts per thread. So I literally HAD to find my old account if I wanted to keep posting here. Smh.

Street Fighter 6 deconfirmed???
In all seriousness, I donât know who honestly expects a new Street Fighter announcement within the next year. Thereâs clearly another season of changes/characters coming that will most likely be revealed alongside a bunch of other stuff at Evo. The game itself is whatever to me but, I do have to step back and admire the commitment to the game when a lot of other studios wouldâve dropped all support a long time ago. (LOL Anthem)
In regards to Full Body⌠I donât think anything from the original game will be missing honestly, but, I also wouldnât put it past Sony to censor it. Itâd be a shame too, itâs been a hella long time since Iâve played through Catherine and itâd be awesome to play through it again after all these years with brand new content. Iâll have to wait and see what my usual go-to game journalists say assuming they even pick it up. Fingers crossed.
Expecting them to announce 6 this early is wishful thinking. I donât expect any legitamate announcement for that until the new consoles are out. Best case scenario announcement is a revision patch somewhere close to the level of AE, possible new combo routes for charactersâŚnew moves to go with whoever they announce. Worst scenario that Iâm actually expecting is just the announcement of 5-6 characters for season 4 and not much else.
Wild card would be MvC4 announced at evo with Sony money hatting the game for PS4 and PS5.
Iâm expecting Decapre levels of disappointment with their Evo announcement.
Iâm expecting some characters, and then the reveal of the next title update which comes out after CapCup.
Wouldnât mind if they say they will quit making games.
Right now Capcom is almost like those WWE legends who just keep coming back for one more stinker.
So you starting early today huh? Lol.
Dunno if I can co sign that one chief⌠Capcom has been killing it with their non SF titles lately, as far as Iâm concerned. Just got done platinuming Resident Evil 2 a little while ago, which honestly might still be my game of the year. Then you got Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry 5, RE7, Phoenix Wright Collection, Dragonâs Dogma on switch, ect⌠Hell even the SF Collection is decent. Itâs dope to be able to play 3S on PS4, at least.
They still have a well of untapped franchises they could pull great games out of. Hoping that Dino Crisis/Resident Evil 3 rumor ends up being real.
I donât play Capcomâs other stuff anymore, so if SF sucks, Capcom sucks.
And SF Collection is the only decent game. But they still dropped the ball big fucking time. No Alpha 2 online, training only in online games, also an extra frame of input lag.
I will say, I donât care about an extra frame of lag, but for the ST community that means that this game canât be the tourney version. I would prefer it, because superguns suck with PS4 pads, and if it wiggles the cord, your buttons default mid match. I think Supergun people probably want to justify keeping/having them.
Capcom will be forgiven for all transgressions if they make an online console port of XvSF Euro V1 ROM, no extra input lag, no new glitches.
Somebody seems to have missed out on the current âCapcom redemption arc.â
Theyâll be redeemed once they fix Dead Rising and Lost Planet, get their shit together with Fighting Game division, and make a remaster of Asuraâs Wrath
This so called âredemption arcâ doesnât matter if the person doesnât care about the games theyâve been making.
Hence why the company shouldnât matter to them.
If you donât care about staple franchises that helped make Capcom what they are today (and these are franchises that were here long before Dead Rising OR Lost Planet), Iâd argue you had little stake in the game to begin with. Street Fighter, sure, Iâll give you that. But theyâve been hitting their stride on the main titles that made them, as far as Iâm concerned.
I donât really see much of an argument against Capcom going through a sort of âredemption arcâ , seeing as how those two games (Lost Planet and DR) probably wouldnât even be here without the success their classics have brought them. Which, again, theyâve been doing good by. Whether or not you personally care about those titles is kind of inconsequential to the point. Itâs like holding a grudge against Nintendo for fucking up one Mario game. Sure, it may be your favorite franchise ever, but that doesnât give you a credible argument to try and say the entire company is trash.
In my opinion, at least.
The same Asuraâs Wrath that had the true ending behind a dlc paywall?
No thanksâŚ
I canât get behind an âall or nothingâ type of mentality. I can love something but still dislike certain parts of it.
I fell in love with Capcom because of their NES Disney games, Mega Man, Strider, their beat em ups like Final Fight, Punisher and AvP and fighting games. There have been other titles that I got enjoy along the way too like Viewtiful Joe.
Not because of DMC, MonHunt and RE.
So?
I get that you like some of those games from Capcomâs âwestern experimentâ period, and Iâmma let you finish, but Monster Hunter World is now the best selling Capcom game of all time. OF ALL TIME.
/kanye
Thatâs cool. I donât wanna take that away from you. I just think people need to consider why a company would focus more on titles that are proven to put asses in seats, as opposed to some of the more obscure stuff like Strider and Lost Planet that you guys are talking about.
Using the term âobscureâ pretty lightly but, you know what I mean. Trust me, Iâd be head over heels for a new Viewtiful Joe. I just donât have it in me to fault them for not grabbing that franchise out of the recycle bin.
I have no issues with it and I donât dislike Capcom because of it. I just donât care about those titles.
