Aesthetics, sound, and music. It also feels more like hard corps, albeit way easier (at least on normal). I did just play through it again with the unlockable ninja character, felt strider-ish, which was cool. As said, it’s a fun game, I was just expecting it to be a bit higher quality. It just doesn’t feel as polished as most of the contra games.
His verbal tick ruins him for me.
I actually had a feeling it wasn’t quite as polished as the trailers wanted me to believe. Even when it talked about epic bosses I was not really that impressed by them, just purely on a visual presence level of course.
I got Blazing Chrome, but only played the first stage so far… I’d say it’s moderately “ok” so far…not amazing but not bad either; a fairly decent first impression so far.
One thing I’m just now realizing in Dead Cells—it was only a couple of weeks ago I found out you can use the homonculus rune ability (detaching your head) to move turrets around… I found it by accident one day…that’s actually a pretty big deal there…since you could be on one platform with your turret, then detach your head and drag a turret around on other platforms to kill enemies without actually being in danger. Maybe they realized this could make curses way too easy; you CAN’T do this while cursed. I don’t think it’s possible after the big button has been pushed in Slumbering Sanctuary either.
It’s way better when you put other John Dimaggio lines in his voice. Bender quotes are great for this.
“Bite my shiny metal ass, ya?”
I personally was never bothered by him ending sentences with “ya”, plus wasn’t it a part of the Besaidian dialect anyway? Lulu didn’t exactly have it, true, but most others did
Maybe? I dont remember it coming from anyone but him, and thays cool if it didnt bother you. After the 50th “Yea?” I wanted tp punch him in the mouth. Ending every scentence with a question is so obnoxious.
I definitely remember “ya” coming from all the NPCs on Besaid and I think from all of their blitzball team members, plus Wakka himself. That’s about it, though
I must have blocked them from my mind then because uhg.
Wakka’s “yah” was far, far less annoying than Tidus finishing his sentences with “you know?” Same with Yuna as the game progressed and she adopted a lot of Tidus’ mannerisms and speech patterns.
Remember when I asked how they were gonna handle Zoro’s sense of direction in the DLC for the One Piece game?
I mean I didn’t like them much either.
Also Re Seymour: I like how you could immediately tell he was a bag of dicks but he presented himself a soft spoken, charming, genuinely good dude but as situations presented themselves he’d slowly shed his skin and show his true motives. Like operation Mihen and his talk with wakka about what’s good for yevon and what’s good for Spira. I was like “oh fuck. This dude is a cunt. He’s manipulating the Laws of Yevon to get what he needs. I can’t wait to see how this plays out”
Also Seymour had the lamest fucking name for a villain
Gears 5 Vs. is being shown on Twitch right now…
keanu da Best
Cooridor did a good job faking Keanu’s face.
Their Tom Cruise deep fake was really good to.
Cleared Leon’s A story in RE:2 Remake, ended up, after a 2 restarts, with B rank at a time just over 5 hours.
Gonna try Clarie’s story next, but I want to do the one that’s canon to Leon’s run.
