Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

I need to go back and finish Aggelos on Switch. Such a great game. If you have a PS4 I highly recommend it.

How do they figure? The highest selling fighting game in the West is currently Mortal Kombat (since Smash is not a fighting game). It does not have a dumb ass simplified fighting system, furries, aversion to violence, or garbage anime tropes unlike their product.

The Friday release day is more-or-less exclusively a Nintendo thing. All of Nintendo titles release on Friday’s. All other gaming companies release their titles on Tuesdays. time. I don’t even remember how or why they started this trend but it’s been going as long as I can remember. The few exceptions of the Nintendo release rule is if it’s a 3rd party or indie developer releasing their title for whatever Nintendo’s main console(s) are at the time.

There have been very few instances where non-Nintendo major releases have happened on Friday’s but I honestly can’t think of any off hand.

I know Squeenix releases Dragon Quest games on Saturdays in Japan so people won’t skip work or school. Lol

As for why Tuesday is the general release day for media—no fucking clue. Again, it’s been that way as long as I can remember. Like, pre-PS2 era.

Considering people found set play for Ferry, and Lancelot is ungga as fuck, I don’t believe it either.

Tim Miller says fans will be happy with Sonic’s redesign

I am somewhat confused… so Konami is opting not to release a version of Snatcher and Rondo of Blood in English for these devices why? Do they not have translations that they could program in a la Trials of Mana?

Those games were never released in English for the PC Engine. The Sega CD version of Snatcher is the only English release while Rondo didn’t get a English release until it was ported to the PSP. Konami doesn’t want to put in the extra work like Square did with Trails of Mana.

I personally think that Granblue needs at least one more beta for exposure reasons, otherwise it’s gonna drop players real quick after, say a month or two.

I don’t need to step onto dog shit to know it will mess up my timbs.

It just seems stupid, they have localized text they can do for what are the two biggest games on the consoles. Despite already having played it on the Wii, I would buy this mini console for Rondo alone and I am certain more Kojima fans would like to see Snatcher. But without those games in a translated form, I just see this as them leaving money that was on the table waiting for them.

Ok look…I don’t like smoking as much as the next person. It’s slow suicide. However…scrubbing depictions of someone giving themselves cancer out of a game though? Really?

Yeah let’s censor smoking. But we’re all okay with the headshots and chainsaw to the face.

The series that gave us chainsaw asshole rape, chainsodomy, is making the BOLD step of…fighting against smoking.

Smh.

Really?
Really?

Mutilation and gore is dine but not smoking?

Depiction of smoking in a video game? That’s bad, it will influence the players, we don’t want kids to get lung cancer from cigarettes

Gambling, however? Put that shit into every AAA release, gotta make bank on those with addictions and who will spend thousands of dollars on fucking FIFA packs

This PC bullshit is so far out of hand at this point. They keep changing things for people won’t even buy the game. When did business start catering to the needs of non customers over actual customers.

Since last generation of consoles at least

Since always. You goofballs seem to have very little understanding of how companies work. They are always targeting beyond their initial demographic because businesses are about growth. Not stagnating out on your already earned consumer base. That consumer base is expected to grow.

Every single company does this. Time y’all wake up to the real world.

Marvel comics either just after or before they abandoned the Comics Code Authority banned smoking from all its comics (I think the creator owned and MAX line were the exceptions) in the early or mid 2000s.
