I want to know who hates Shiki that they ruined her big prime time debut.
So they dumb it down then
As a westerner that means it wonât be painfully anime. I donât believe it.
Simplify mechanics have never sold fighting games. When will developers realize this?
So auto-combo shit like in FighterZ & Cross Tag im guessing?
Looks at the entire Marvel Vs seriea , DBFZ, P4A series, yada yada.
The IPs is what sold those games. I doubt anyone brought P4A for the auto combos and one button DPs.
And they stuck around so it worked.
But itâs not what sold the game. Granblue Fantasy Versus succeeding will depend more on the game being based on a pre-existing IP. If not that then how much content it will be packing at launch. Ether case the actual game mechanics isnât whatâs selling the game to casuals.
Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of Satoru Iwataâs passing.
Great video by DYKG about his history and accomplishments within Nintendo and gaming as a whole. The video was made shortly after his passing.
RIP to one of the greats.
So I take it neither of you played the beta
^ Picked this up recently and have been playing it the past few days. Itâs fun as hell.
-Fast & Fun action RPG combat that is similar to the recent Ys games. You can do combo strings â tag to another character to keep the fun times rolling.
-You can freeze water making it so you can stand on it as well as freezing enemies that are nearby(they will also take more damage.) You can set shit on fire too, and the environment can be broken to make temporary Double Dragon-style weapons.
-Level layout is almost 1:1 like Niohâs. You get a mission/quest to do a specific area, you go to a world map and then go to the level from there.
-Phat loot and a skill tree. You have your basic attack and you can equip 2 other skills to use on top, and if you tap R2 youâll go to your secondary setup where you can equip another 3 skills to use.
-The story and voice acting so far is solid, nothing amazing though.
-When you complete certain missions/objectives and you revisit towns, theyâll start to give you titles based on what youâve accomplished. âOH YOUâRE THE GUY WHO REKT ALL OF THOSE GOBLINS? YOU WILL KNOW BE KNOWN AS THE GOBLIN SMASHER.â âHey Goblin Smasher whatâs up?â
The game is really niche. I didnât know it existed until a few months back. Itâs PS3 exclusive too oddly enough. Thereâs a shitload of content too. 20 bucks well spent.
I had to âreviewâ a game during the Steam Summer Sale to meet some kind of requirement, so I reviewed this game saying for people to not buy it, because thereâs literally 2 levels and 30 minutes worth of content.
A developer responded asking to check back on the 11th or 12th because there will be an announcement and I guess this is it.
They had to change the name because they got into legal trouble with the band Iron Maiden. Ion Maiden was too close of a name I guess, pretty dumb.
This probably has been discussed before, but I just noticed it recently. Since when did they start releasing games on Fridays instead of Tuesdays? It makes more sense, but what was the reasoning behind Tuesday releases?
