Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

It’s not a Kickstarter game anymore. They got 6 million dollars from backers, then another budget increase from getting a publisher, and now another budget increase from being Epic Store exclusive

There’s no excuse now

Clickbait.

MCC was considered some time ago, nothing came out of it

I am still thinking that the Xbox Project Scarlet would be the Sony PS5. MS never been that good with console hardware, or consoles in general.

Needed a reason to put down MHW till Iceborne!!
Time to hop back on MK11

It’s not an excuse to have puppet like animations and terrible fucking voice acting.

I mean… We kinda already know they’re gonna be more or less equal in terms of raw power, the only differentiations next generation seem to be the exclusive lineup and, at least according to those who had the chance of tinkering with the devkits, that PS5 will be going in on the raytraced/high-end audio while XB2 is going in on hardware accelerated raytracing out of the box

I think we’ve reached a point where we’re not gonna see stuff a-la the sweeps between “PS3 hidden potential” and Xbox 360’s infinitely better multiplatform titles

I mean MS sorta gives up on consoles and goes in with Sony to produce a single console.
Great for a design concept but bad for any competition.

Spencer already said Scarlett isn’t their last console, so we can rest assured that Microsoft isn’t giving up on making new Xbox branded hardware

I trust Microsoft on their statements as far as I can throw them.

I believe they are legit when I ACTUALLY SEE IT, till then I am not taking Spencer’s word. He already bicycle on alot of his statements or said Half-truths.

M$ is definitely trying to make leave a digital footprint in the gaming world than anything else. It’s why they’re buying so many studios, expanding game pass, working with Nintendo among other things.

It’s smart.

At least with the switch and Xbla, Nintendo confirms it. Like How MS and Sony sharing tech for databases.

I believe their partnership is primarily focused on providing Sony with data center capabilities to expand and improve PlayStation Now

Not gonna a lie, I may soon be part of that problem. I have back catalog on my original 3DS and I may want to pick up an XL variant if I can find it cheap. Plus my eldest nephew is on summer break and loves my Switch if I can figure a few 3DS games he would play another one might be the investment to make in 2019.

Fascinating animated speed run of Breath of the Wild.

Idk if the sale is still ongoing but GameStop (I know) has all their used 3DSXL models for $100-$130. They have a lot (if not all) of the limited edition ones like Majora’s Mask, Neon Green, Fire Emblem and Metroid: Samus Returns.

Edi: just checked. Still ongoing. :+1:

But you have to admit if Sony and MS join forces on a console together would make sense.
They are strong in the other weak areas, Sony has the hardware engineering down and MS has Software dev Experience, just don’t rely on Windows at all, and it would be a killer combination.

Down side it be bad for the industry as a whole.

Which is preciely why it will never happen. Console gaming would immediately go to shit if one company was dominant in it, espeially Sony of all companies.

Ether Sony or MS becomes solely dominant all of console gaming will turn to a dumpster fire.
But I think Console gaming is going to the shitter anyways, there nothing actually special about consoles anymore, that line between PC and console is too blurred now. The PS4 and Xbox One are just PC’s with locked down hardware and really shitty OS.
Consoles are just gaming hardware for basic bitches people who don’t want to learn about computers.
