I like how actual SNK/KoF players have actually been enjoying this on social media, instead of bitching about it.
SNK is no stranger to doing these kinds of things, even back in the 90s.
Heck, most of the people in charge at modern SNK, are people from 90s SNK.

Path of Exile dropped a new expansion on Friday and it’s been so much goddamn fun. I’ve had some good luck gearing my character too. I bought a really good craftable swArd for my character, but I need to do some things in-game first before I can properly craft it, but once I do it’ll last me pretty much the entirety of the expansion.

ha, so I was ignorant of the whole Probotector/Contra thing… here I was thinking that Probotector was some other shit I never played before, but it’s just the “other version” (PAL) of Contra 3. The only difference seems to be the main characters are robots (the “probotectors”) instead of Bill and Lance…apparently this was because in places like Germany, it wasn’t accepted for a video game to be too violent…so they made the human characters into robots instead. So… what you’re REALLY getting in this collection is Contra, Super C, Contra 3 and Hard Corps, and the other stuff is just variants of that.
Well, at least Contra Hard Corps is new to me; I never played that one…that game is hard as hell, btw…I don’t see myself beating that one or even getting far in it anytime soon…possibly ever.
I still have mixed feelings over the PSO2 to say the least… I will probably get the damn thing and at least have fun for a while since it is apparently free-to-play… though another downside imo is that I’m sure it’s online only because of what type of game that is…it’s why I tend to avoid MMOs anyway…the very concept of what they are involves something about gaming that I find to be repulsive. (note–past Phantasy Stars were all offline-playable, btw----including PS Universe and the PS Portables You still had the option of playing offline if you wanted. In fact I still have the PSU disc. If I wanted to, I could play that shit right now, even though the servers for that game were shut down years ago.)

Anyways. Crystal Dynamics kinda put me at ease by saying Avengers main story campaign will be entirely a single player experience. While side-missions will have the option of being played in multi-player. The game still looks very questionable but this info makes me happy
