The Contra collection inspired me to play Contra 4 again, having played the shit out of it at the original release and a few times after. Would really like to see it released on another collection without the damn deadzone between screens ideally with a tate option. It also makes me wish Konami had put a challenge mode like 4’s in the old games, though clearly that would be expecting way too much of today’s Konami. Those were a great way to master difficult sections without the big time sink a playthrough requires. Shattered Soldier’s training mode was another cool feature that would modernize the games a good bit.

I’m excited. I played the Phantasy Star Universe that came out in like 2006 or 2008? Then I played the beta for PSO2 at Pax Prime when it was first announced in 2012

For the life of me i cant decide if i think this is going to be utter shite or truly amazing.
It did make me think of Unreal Championship 2 (the og xbox exclusive) though. Fuck that was amazing. Playing an proper arena shooter as Raiden, being able to melee rockets back at people and then hit a MK fatality. Man that game needs an HD remake.
