I’ve been looking online recently and forgot they were discontinued. I remember saying “finally” when it happened, only to forget about it being discontinued when I started wanting one.
Sega Classics Collections, Mario 3D Land and the Zelda games are what I want for it though.
As far as Wii U titles you missed. Noitu Love Devolution, Might Switch Force Neo and Crashmo/Pushmo World, the Sin and Punishment games since I’ll count bc titles, Splatoon.
Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. Dark Souls Remastered.
Just like Hawkingbird said the recent Sanic racers actually take a dump on the recent MK games - from the game feel(you actually feel fast af) to the the track design >>>>>>>>>> MK. Drifting mechanics are better too. Sucks I can’t play as BD Joe or Ryo in the new one though.
To be fair no one really makes 3D platformers outside of Nintendo. Literally the only games I can think of that isn’t made by Nintendo is Yooka-Laylee and A Hat in Time or whatever it was called. Ratchet & Clank I wouldn’t classify as a pure platformer, there’s more going on there.
BotW has awesome everything. I used to think the combat was the only weak point (which I was fine with), but it dips it’s feet hard into the Character/Stylish-Action genre, so it’s a win there as well over other games in and close to the genre.
3D Platformers: Psychonauts and Sly Cooper
Action RPGs: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Darksiders II, God of War (2019), Kingdom Hearts II
Kart Racer: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
I am sure there are others I have missed or are in development.
Those are platformers. Amalur is infinitely more alive than any location in Zelda games. I have no idea what would make Darksiders II garbage in your eyes.
Get the fuck out of here. The story, the characters and none of the locations were memorable in Amalur. The game was dead outside the combat. Legit fuck off with that type of reaching.
Darksiders II story was boring as hell, had an open world filled with nothing and shitty backtracking.
