I wouldn’t try to either, @chadouken
This thing
Yeah dude, I own that shit! You didn’t like it?
He’s a Sega apologist who constantly says revisionist history bs. So. No he probably doesn’t.
I actually agree with chadouken but I will clean it up.
Can you name a better 3D platformer then Super Mario Odyssey?
Can you name a better Zelda style adventure (seriously it has been decades why is there still not a better genre classification name for Zelda likes?) game this generation?
Better Kart racer?
The Nintendo brands strengths have usually been their rarity. With a few exceptions Nintendo drops only one or two sequels a generation. This doesn’t count the re-release/port, which if you count arcade and their earlier home game technology efforts they have been doing since the 80s, but they balance their IP and the genres well.
Sega did not know how to do that and due to their arcade based history and cultural issues failed to do the basic stuff expected to capitalize on the success of the Genesis or any of their IP outside of Sonic and maybe some of the European faves like Football Manager.
He likes Nintendo, too. We’ve traded Mario levels.
It’s on the fucking 3DS. If I find one I’ll let you know after that, but I’m still pissed they didn’t make it for the Wii U.
Yeah, god forbid they put a revision of a handheld game on a handheld. And a hand held that actually sold units unlike the Wii U or any dumb shit Sega put out like the game gear and nomad
Oh, duh. My bad, I thought you were railing against the game.
Because a 2D Metroid built on from the ground up on the Wii U, with the Game Pad used for map and item functionality, would NOT be the best thing ever…
Nope. I hated the Wii U.
No. It wouldn’t have. And iirc the map and item menu was on the bottom screen of the 3DS.
And the Wii U had long been dead and deservedly so when Samus Returns came out.
I mean, I would have loved it on the Wii U just for the fact I could play it on the big screen. I loved it for 3DS, but I’m definitely partial to playing videogames on my TV.
Kind am still. I still think the 3DS is one of the nastier systems to come out, since ever, but recently I’ve been thinking about copping one for the Sega Classics collections and Mario 3D Land…
Still even an awesome game that would come out for it would just let me sigh at it.
You want/wanted all these games for a horribly selling system and not that great of a system in general to justify a bad purchase. I don’t regret my Wii U purchase because the first party titles they released were great. They gave me Hyrule Warriors a game I became obsessed with which hasn’t happened in aloooong time. At the same time, I fucking hated the Wii U. It’s a shit system.
You could probably find a used one cheap now. It had a great library, and if you’re a fan of classic Metroid, Samus Returns its definitely a must-play.
Sonic & Sega All Star Racing Transformed. Pisses all over recent Mario Karts.
Comparing Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn is without a doubt the better game.
I love the Wii U. Tropical Freeze, SM3DW, NSMBU, Wonderful 101, Xenoblade, MK8.
Am I missing anything?
What little I played of it on the vita I didn’t really like it. Not saying it’s bad…just not my bag.
Wii U software = awesome. Wii U the system = hot garbage.
