Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

Looks like NRS is taking a page out of Capcom’s book with that stage.

You probably can. I mean, voiding warranties is what most arcade stick modders do.

EDIT: Looking for a proper source, but it seems that SNK has already turned a profit on SamSho 7 on pre-orders alone.

I call massive bullshit on this. It’s not even preorderable in the states yet. Not even digitally

I told someone else this - I would buy one of those things if it was relatively cheap and I could mod it to work on my PC, PS3, Current Consoles.

I dont really care about the ROMs it can run. I dont care about “perfect” emulation. I have all the games on my PC. But being able to use a dual stick on my laptop so I can play whatevers with a friend or my lady would be cool. Hook it up to my PS3 would be cool.

I’m probably gonna wait out on the whole PS5 during the first few months. God knows Sony has a tendency to fuck up with its’ first batch of consoles having some hardware issue BS

If anyone missed out on them and want them

“Even”? $400 is on the low side already considering past consoles

Wonder what the PS5 controller will be like.

Sony should bring back the Boomerang!

Maybe it’ll be an inverted boomerang. It never comes back when you throw it.

Source:

It’s from their recent investor press conference. Dunno it the translation is correct, or if it is and SNK is bullshitting.

I just don’t see how that’s possible since it only seems available for preorder in certain Asian countries right now (from what I’ve seen)

Yeah, I dont see how SNK can make money selling only to slanty eyes.

They cant make money unless they get some big American bills all up in their sales. Is asian money even real?

Probably like american money but sideways.

That’s not really what I meant. I’m just saying that preorders have only been open to such a small demographic I don’t see how they can already turn a profit on it. We don’t really know what the budget is on the game though. So maybe they kept costs as low as possible? I don’t know. Reviving an old IP is always a gamble.

I mean, if they have turned profit on just Asian country preorders than awesome. Just means they’re going to make more as preorders open to more international markets.

It’s just weird to me that the game was announced almost a year ago and preorders weren’t available world wide the day of or shortly after the announcement. Most companies want preorders open as soon as possible.

Thats exactly what you said. Lots of companies make profits on the asian markets. All of your questions are basically meaningless because a lot of studios have stayed afloat without the west.

How much did it cost to make?

Enough that selling it to their dedicated local fanbase in Japan plus a few other countries made it successful. The rest of your post is just random lersonal issues you have, not ones SNK is having.

I guess I should have clarified more? I don’t know. I get why it came across that way. I’ll choose my words better next time.

I’m aware.

Clearly.

I wouldn’t call them personal issues. Just general curiosity and bewilderment. I just find it odd and confusing why SNK hasn’t made the game preorderable to the rest of the world yet, especially since its being showcased at the biggest FGC tournament in the world and people from all over the world come to play their game game at EVO. There’s also the fact we are a little over 2 months away from its worldwide release.

…what?

At present the Chinese market eclipses both the Euro-zone and American markets, so why is that hard to believe?

We don’t know if China is responsible for making the game profitable. All this information is coming from a Korean site.

True, but I haven’t spent $399 on a console yet, especially without a game packed in. $350 was the most I spent so far, which was the PS4 Pro with Destiny 2 packed in for 2017 BF.

Word at other forums is $449 or $499 with the specs they have, and/or waiting for MS to announce the price on their new system and undercut by $50.
