SRK is comprised of a lot of decent people. The problem with SRK is that a lot of people either get caught up in their hubris or get high on their own supply. The vast majority of the FGC is also insanely nice and accepting place. An even bigger problem is people somehow taking a few loudmouths in one thread and using that as a representative for the whole site.
Because its a bonding mechanism. Young kids do rough play and then get along just fine. SRK makes fun of you, and if you can laugh at your self and crack jokes on others, just happily accepts you in. The only time it gets dicey is bringing in shit that has nothing to do with things here i.e. leave people’s children alone and other family members.
People have been fun of here for every physical attribute imaginable including for being gay, not being gay etc. Hell we have an entire thread full of GD members pictures with jokes about every damn ethnicity that showed up.

My best friend has GED and I guarantee you he’s smarter than anyone here. I still remember that our 7th grade science teacher had a broken Chinese Pinball Machine. He asked her if he could take it home. He brought it back and in full working order the next day. He taught himself how to do 3D modeling and programming. He was making his own maps for FPS game back in high school. This was the late 90s/early 00s. He turned his grandparents house into a map.

While I’m still hyped to heaven, I’m getting a little more worried about MK11 the more I hear about it gameplay-wise. They’ve taken out aggression by replacing running/long dashes with dashes that don’t cover a lot of space. They’ve also toned down combos in order to put more emphasis on super/enhanced moves.
Time will tell if they just know more than the fans, but it seems like they’re fixing a lot of shit that wasn’t broke.
Run mechanic in MK was shit. Thank god they removed it.
The nerf to dashes is to make walkspeeds the primary method of movement. If no one moves like a glacier than it should be fine.

I miss when NRS put a lot of effort into making MK a tournament viable game with MK9. Now MK games are back to being clown shoes. The fact that your health destroying super move is given to you for free on low health plus the fact that it automatically refills on block and whiff is just crazy to me. Just seems like another silly Esports inspired decision made solely to produce artificial comebacks.
Yeah. I know the Fatal Blow can only happen once a match, but I still don’t like it as a desperation mechanic.
I’m hoping the game will be awesome and any doubts I have will be laid to rest. Still though, I can’t even comprehend why they made these changes they made.
