If you haven’t already, you may want to finish up with the Council of Valkyries as well. It can be a little tedious (due to Gondul being gated), but there is some interesting lore discovered during that optional stuff, if you care for it. The fights (especially the final encounter) were pretty enjoyable, too.
I already did the Valkyrie fights. The fight against the Queen was an absolute bitch. Even with fully maxed out Valkyrie gear it took me 90 minutes to beat her.
I did all the major sidequests before reaching the end. Valkyries, freeing dragons, helping the spirits, sealing tears, going to the fire and fog realms, finding all the myth panels. The only thing I haven’t done is kill all of odin’s ravens and find the treasure map treasure.
When I purchased FFX-2 I expected a sequel as opposed to a spin-off and the lack of relevance given to old characters and lack of any direction for the plot killed it for me. I don’t like that the characters had no real specialisation and that most jobs were useless. I don’t know how it can be called a good rpg when low health, catnip, and trigger happy can get anyone out of any situation and none of the battles were challenging without it either.
I never played Corridor Simulator XIII because its hybrid combat design was half-assed and the world and plot were dreadful. Final Fantasy XII had poor characters and main plot that dragged on too long, but the sense of wonder in exploration and progression kept it interesting.
I gave up on the queen valkyrie fuck that shit. I had already beaten the game and was playing just because, so I said screw it and threw in the towel lol. I haven’t gone back to the game since then. I switched the difficulty to easy for that fight too and was nowhere near close to killing her.
The biggest mistake I made was not finding all the Valkyrie names before fighting the Queen. Completing that labor will give you a enchantment that will reduce all Valkyrie damage by 5%. It would have been a major help.
Good. Fuck em.
Seriously if you can’t handle the heat then get out of the kitchen.
So their DLC on board and it kicks off in March? Why is that an issue, it give players time to unlock everything and explore the game before adding more content. The on going replayability comes with well timed additional content and March gives it just enough time for players to be hungry but not starved for more.
Also the DLC is all listed as challange packs and not character ad-ons so you probilly have to do some in game challenge, clear a state or battle or jump though some hoops to unlock Joker and the other DLC characters just like we did with the other 70+ characters that isn’t the original N64 roster.
I don’t get why people are getting suckered into FallOut 76, man… there’s 3 people on my friend list now that have the game. It’s just strange to me because that game has looked like a completely ill-conceived disaster from the first moment we even heard of it at E3, when Todd gave the first red flag saying it would be an online-only thing. Really… WHAT about it is good? I don’t see a single redeeming quality in any of the footage I’ve seen of the game… not 1 thing, man. I wouldn’t even waste the time or space on my harddrive if they put that shit up as the next free game of the month.
I keep forgetting that a lot of people just have bad taste in various things…like when the jheri curl became a popular hairstyle, or when “pet rocks” became a big seller back in the day.
I do not think Soulja Boy came out of this unscathed. His site is taken over by Nintendo, and Nintendo known for including Non-disclosure agreements with their out court settlements, where breaking the NDA also means breaking the terms of the settlement and Nintendo having what they need to take him into court.
Soulja Boy probability have a good lawyer that mitigated the damages to where Nintendo hurt him financially instead of “Killing” him in court. For all we know Nintendo is now clamming profits from Soulja Boys Royalties for the time being.
Seeing that he’s getting to walk away the more plausible explanation is that he got a C&D. The redirects must be Soulja being cheeky about it. He is that dumb.
Found the Star Fox 64 3D cart for 24 bucks at Gamestop the other day. Just the cart, no case which is unfortunate, but it’s also by far the cheapest I’ve found the game anywhere so I snatched it up.
Took a break from cleaning the house and did a run through of the game on my 3DSXL and damn I love everything about it except maybe the new dub. Don’t hate it, its just slightly different from how I’ve known these lines for for 20 years so just sounds a little off.
Honestly my only actual complaint is the 3DS itself, its so damn thin that my hand cramps trying to mash the shoot button, and use the Nub stick, I might look into picking up one of Those grip things that make the 3DS fatter and easier to hold for adult hands.
Really glad I bought this, also saw a few other 3DS games there I want to scoop up like Bravely Second, tho I still need to play Default. Wanna grab the Fire Emblem games they have to and a few others. Loving my 3DS and Switch.
Now to get back to Megaman 11.
I actually have it on 3DS as well. The dub takes getting used to, the only part of the game that I would call trash is the lack of the original multi-player.
Other then that, it is a good remaster .
I’ve honestly never noticed (or knew there were any) the dialogue differences in Starfox 643D.
Having wore the hell out of Starfox 64…the new dub is def off in the remake. It’s not bad it’s just a different kind of ham than the old ham.
thank god xenosaga ep 2 is over! i think ill wait on my ep 3 replay next is either wild arms 5 or shadow hearts covenant replay.
New Year’s Resolution is definitely buying way less games. A lot of day one’s next year all over the place, but I’m limiting myself to DMCV, Judgement, Shenmue 3, Daemon x Machina.
Leaving room for Yakuza remasters and possibly Death Stranding or Ghosts of Tsushima. Initially DS and GoT were going to be had, but I’m only committing to one this year between the two.
I’m banking on Bayonetta 3 being a 2020 title.
What about everyone else?
i am definitely going to try cutting down on buying shit especially full price stuff ive let my backlog get way outta control plus i want to save some money.
I still plan on buying every video game I want. In January alone I’m getting Travis Strikes Again, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, M&L bowsers inside story + bowser Jrs journey, Tales of Vesperia Definitive edition and Kingdom Hearts III.
Whether I’ll have time to play them? That’s to be seen.
I also have Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and several other games that are coming out in 2019 preordered.
I already cut down on my game spending this year but my backlog is still insane.
As for next year, I got my sights on REmake 2, DMC5, Of Rice and Ruin, Deamon x Machina, Bloodstained, Code Vein and the Monster Hunter expansion.
My wants for THIs year lol
DMC5
Shenmue 3
Control
Doom eternal
