Anyone having fun with the new AC game? Looks and plays exactly like ACO just in a new area.

Kinda boring, they really need to change sth about the AC series to bring fresh air to this franchise.

Skullgirls has more input delay than it has players

Only I may review 'A Link to the Past’

this guy went on a long TL;DR about how he is only allowed to review Zelda Link to Past
https://www.reddit.com/r/gatekeeping/comments/9eed5x/only_i_may_review_a_link_to_the_past/e5owkf9/

I clicked the link in hopes of people telling the guy to eat a dick…I am thoroughly dissapointed…

Ass Creed Oddyssey is doing pretty well for its launch

The Hell! the whole Terminator 2 movie remade in GTA V

As much as I really like Megaman 11, calling it the Sonic Mania of it’s series is a touch too strong a praise for it.

Street Supremacy: Part of my favorite racing series; Tokyo Xtreme Racer. I had the import version back in the day under it’s original name : Shutoko Battle(TXR) Zone of Control.

Oh, and damn this is good, especially when it cuts into that slow part…

Mega Man 11 is not the series’ sonic mania. That’s just a stupid comparison.

Who’s played I Expect You to Die on PSVR or any other PC VR? I’m curious how you would compare it to Statik if you have played it. They are both kind of ā€œescapeā€ puzzle games from what I’ve seen of it. Statik is one of my favorite experiences on PSVR too, I loved the puzzles and how you weren’t hand held at all and just had to figure stuff out. I’m curious if I Expect You to Die is somewhat similar in that fashion and also the length.

I finished Yakuza: Kiwami 2 recently. I really enjoyed it, though I hate that the newer Yakuza games don’t have the stance system from Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1. They add so much to the combat and they make them a lot more enjoyable imo, though the combat in K2 is still great. It really opens up once you unlock more and more moves. You eventually get a Heat move you can do immediately after a parry which is really damn satisfying. In the end I almost knocked all of the substories. I imagine the ones I’m missing are mostly tied to the Majima construction mini-game but I really didn’t feel like getting into it.

I started up FOTNS: Lost Paradise almost immediately after and it’s fun as hell. The first few chapters were linear, but I think in this next chapter the ā€œcityā€ opens up and it’s going to turn into an open-world style game. I don’t know about you guys but I’m really, really burnt out on open-world style games and find it really difficult to chase all the side missions and quests in these types of games without burning out. I think I’ll mess around with some of the side content before just following the ā€œmainā€ story missions.

I find I enjoy games more that are in the 8-15ish hour range over 25-30+ hour games with side content out the ass. There are exceptions though, like the Souls series where all of the content is enjoyable and adds to the experience in some way, instead of games where you’ll do some fluff side mission for a bit of $$$ or some upgrade points that goes towards one of your 150 upgrades. Yakuza as well since most of the substories are pretty different from each other, and the dialogue/situations you get put in are typically pretty funny/enjoyable in their own way.

I feel linear games are more memorable as well for the most part too.

TLDR: finished Kiwami 2 and open world games burn me out with their fluff side missions.

the Dead Cells obsession continues…
I just found a weapon called ā€œHayabusa Gauntlets III-Lā€. BRUHHHHH this shit is ridiculous. It already started off at 1100 something dps… that’s now boosted to 2264(+150%) because I have 15 points in Brutality. I had to take a snapshot just to keep this weapon in mind for later runs…

  • +50% damage when at max HP
  • Critical Hits deal +20% damage
  • Victims freeze other enemies for 1.8 seconds.
Also–the 5th strike is always a critical hit.

Mutations push the damage way further… for that — I got +482 dps for 15 seconds after killing an enemy… +642 dps with at least 2 enemies near me… +1070 dps for 13 seconds after being wounded. (the ā€œvengeanceā€ mutation; a new favorite) The damage here is just disgusting…and other enemies are getting frozen simply for being close to the one that’s getting hit. They have no chance against this.

*also—my secondary on this run is a shield that grants me an invincible 3-second force-field after a successful parry. (*I’ve noticed this only applies to melee hits though… I don’t get the force-field for parrying projectiles) I just beat the first boss on this run a while ago, and his health got destroyed SO fast, man.

What? Sony demanded that a portion of the game be cut off in order to be published?
