Video Game General 6.3: Sekiro has so many damn chickens man. Chickens Everywhere!

CoD Blops 4 requires day 1 50gb patch

I actually wished I did Real Estate and Cabaret missions in Y0. The story grabbed me at a certain point and just wouldn’t let go. I’m probably gonna tackle them after Kiwami 2.

I started a new play through in 0 a couple months ago unlocking the things earlier, which has taken me longer, because I’m trying to knock out side missions before the side stories.

Previously I did more real estate (bought all of Senryo Street?) than Cabaret (two missions). I was truth to rush it to get back to Kiwamt and unlock Dragon style.

That’s a whole lot of Yakuza, lol, but it doesn’t stop being awesome.

I really dug both the real estate and cabaret side missions. I thought they were a alot of fun. And besides it meant you’d be rolling in dough so it was easy to level up your skills quickly too

Microsoft is buying Obsidian

All these studios Microsoft is picking up and they still can’t make exclusives worth a shit. What are they trying to accomplish exactly?

Their lack of exclusives is the reason why they are buying up studios.

They’re probably going to pull and EA and phase out half of them if not more.

I hope we see launch 360 MS next-gen. They aren’t going to buy the studios I give a care about but it’ll be worth it for the meltdowns…again.

I still remember MS getting FF XIII and the fallout from that. I think GTA IV was another one and I’m pretty sure DMC 4 had it as well? Good times, lol.

Microsoft doesn’t have EA’s history with studio acquisitions. Lionhead is the last studio I recall them shutting down and that was years ago.

So Google is sending out invites for testing out their streaming console/service

That’s the sign up sheet. AssCreed Odyssey is on it, for those interested.

Why? If Obsidian worth buying, Bethesda would of done it already.
Bethesda didn’t buy or even try to rescue Obsidian as they are falling apart, not just financially but socially as well. The Studio already let go of it’s best talent, the guy who wrote the script the for original Fallout, Fallout II for Interplay and NV left, the founder of Obsidian was kicked out, there not much left.
Microsoft may as well buy the current Telltale Sudios at this rate.

Also Obsidian has none of its own IP.
Obsidian do not own New Vegas Bethesda does, Pillars of Eternity is owned by Paradox Interactive.
What new IP is Microsoft getting from Obsidian? I had to look it up, Nothing.
Obsidian only did licensed work, and got subcontracted by bigger studios/publishers.

The Xbox playerbase has shown time and time again they don’t give a shit about a huge majority of RPG’s. This purchase doesn’t make any sense.

THQ Nordic should have bought them instead.

@Kurokon People are saying that Leon’s “noir” outfit is a nod to Sebastian from TEW

Or they could, you know, be trying to get players outside their traditional playerbase.

Plus both the original Xbox and Xbox360 were important in bringing western RPGs to consoles. Playstation and Nintendo systems only ever had JRPGs and maybe a few self-published action-RPGs in Sony’s case, but with TES, KotOR and Fable Xbox pretty much launched those kinds of games on console and they were actually pretty successful, too.

Even for JRPGs it’s hard to gauge the playerbase spread accross systems because PS4 has sold so many more untis. I remember FFXIII being almost 50:50 between PS3 and Xbox360 though.
