Donkey Kong Country took up the whole of the PS1 era for you?
Pretty much. That and Secret of Evermore, Chrono Trigger, and various other SNES games until the N64 came out.
I traded a dope item in Path of Exile just now for 2 Exalted Orbs. Exalted Orbs are like the Stone of Jordan/High Rune/Currency of the game and theyâre worth a lot.
A few minutes later the dude asked to trade me back. I logged off. I was going to be a douche and say some shit like âTHIS AINâT POGS/POKEMAN CARDZ BRO NO TRADE BACKS!!!â
Worst case scenario if he messages me when I get back on tomorrow I put him on ignore. Thatâs the beauty of these types of games. Trade for something then regret it afterwards? Thatâs on you. I come from the Diablo II era where my young dumbass self got scammed for good items. Lesson learned.
I remember stuff like this couldnât happen in Diablo III later on once they made practically everything worth a damn bind on pickup/account or whatever, basically making trading non-existent.
The gloves in question. One of the best gloves Iâve ever found:
The demo ran perfectly fine on Switch and without a side by side comparison it was almost impossible to tell the differences between this and the Xbox version for example. Handheld mode obviously loses a bit of detail here and there but you also have to take into account that youâre playing it on a much smaller screen then and might not have been able to see said details in the first place.
Also didnât notice any framerate issues in the demo but it wasnât the most action packed mission.
So tired of Metroidvania games. Same with RogueLikes (and I use to love roguelikes.)
I wish Indy devs would get more creative with their games.
From what Iâve read, they were probably trying to use some exceptions within the California WARN act to do what they did. But it seems these donât exist within the Federal WARN act.
Counting Shadow of the Tomb Raider, thatâs two games they shouldnât have released near Spider-Manâs release date.
Castlevania Requiem (Rondo and SoTN) officially confirmed
Launches the same day as season 2 of the Netflix series.
Yay for Rondo of Blood
Boo for SotN
I will probably buy Requiem just to support the series in hopes of Konami releasing more classic CV games, despite still having SotN on PS1, XBLA, and Rondo on the Wiiâs VC. I do wish it was being out on Steam though, I basically never turn on my PS4. A more ideal collection would be the 8 through 16 bit console games followed by SotN and all the following 2d releases. I also want to see Contra collection releases- Konami is foolish for not cashing in on their classic games- all they have to do is hire someone to do a decent job porting them.
Reading that the collection is exclusive to ps4 whichi is a tad disappointing since I thought they could have used the cross promotion with Smash. Oh well.
I want a Gradius Collection with 1-5 on it and Gradius Gaiden as an unlockable.
Iâve never played SOTN so Iâll be grabbing it in October.
Squeenix confirming english VAs for kh 3
Looks like Sony caved and will be offering Fortnite crossplay with Switch and XBox.
I really hope Rocket League follows suit.
I wish I had never played it.

That way I could experience the best game of the Playstation era for the first time, yet again.
The first time through SOTN really is the best time through SOTN.
Damn, you guys are hyping me up for SOTN.
Rocket League will definitely crossplay. I remember their devs saying they can enable it with a flip of a switch.
This gives hope for Fallout 76.
Okay those are games that came out about the same time as the PS1 launch, but where you been for a whole five years?
N64? You know after the PS1 came out and the N64 is underway Hiroshi Yamauchi said (paraphrasing) FUCK YOU to RPGs afterwards.
[People who play RPGs are] âdepressed gamers who like to sit alone in their dark rooms and play slow games.â -Yamauchi
Hence why you saw shit for RPGs on the N Six Four, about the same time Square did the smart thing and Jump ship from Nintendo and their Draconian licensing policies for Sony who wrote Square a big fat check.
He also had said this little gem right before the Wii rolled out
âI have been saying this for some time, but customers are not interested in grand games with higher-quality graphics and sound and epic stories. Only people who do not know the videogame business would advocate the release of next-generation machines when people are not interested in cutting-edge technologies.â
