Telltale drama isn’t done. They now have a Class Action Lawsuit filed against them because…yeah, turns out laying off everyone without notice and giving no severance is pretty fucking illegal.
It was nearly tragic to begin with for the employees that got pulled along for poorly laid out business models that bankrupted the company. As I am sure all involved had higher hopes for the company besides a foot note in history.
Metal Gear Solid
Tales of Destiny
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Silent Hill
Suikoden II
Legend of the Dragoon
Tomba
Syphon Filter 2
Resident Evil 2
Samurai Fencer Musashi
Bust a Groove
PaRappa the Rapper
Medievil
Twisted Metal II
Klonoa
That is a pretty solid list. It’s hard to say the best 15 and also there were a lot of games that owned back then that probably did not age well at all. I’ll throw some more out too.
Jet Moto
Wipeout
Tobal No. 2
G-Darius
Thrill Kill (for sheer shock value)
Ape Escape (I wasn’t a huge fan but it basically is why the dual shock was introduced)
Retro Games, hell ya.
Yeah I am not a huge fan of the Atari 2600 era ether.
And I also can’t find most early 80s computer games appealing ether.
Commodore 64, ZX, very early DOS games and the such, no thanks.
I think there isn’t a real difference between the versions of VC4 aside from graphical fidelity. So if you want clearer graphics go for PS4 or Xbone, if you don’t mind your game dropping a bit visually but want to be able to take it on the go then Switch.
only other thing I’m hearing is that at the time of the demo there were some frame drops on the switch version but I haven’t heard anything more on it since then so I don’t know if it’s been fixed
Sheeeeit, Twisted Metal 2 is what comes to mind right away for me. I never counted how much time I spent with that game but the total was probably insane. I liked that game so much, I actually recorded all the endings…yeah…this was in the good ol’ days of VHS, bruh.
Anything else is a bonus after that, imo… others that were my favorites on that system->> One, Apocalypse, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (*one of the few times in gaming history that vampire fans were thrown something nice to play with), Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, and Loaded…actually “Loaded” didn’t really age well though; it was later on the PSP or Vita if I recall but I never bought it again.
I never owned a PS1 but played it at other people’s houses any chance I was able so it’s interesting hearing some of these games I’m not familiar with.
Used to play a lot of 2xtreme off of the demo disc, this isometric shooter that to this day I have NO idea what the name of it is, and also this submarine shmup that I really enjoyed that I don’t know the name of either.
Still looking at some of the games you guys mentioned and didn’t know Visual Concepts made other games before they were regulated to just making sports games. This One game is interesting.
I just finished Yoku’s Island Express. What a great charming little game. I was going to play Dead Cells but that was in my Switch so I decided to play it for a little bit which turned into 90 minutes until I beat it. I’ll be going back to unlock more stuff though.
