Can’t say I’m surprised the game isn’t announced for Wii U but it isn’t coming till 2015 so there’s time to change their minds on it though I doubt it. I have a feeling that no matter how many units Nintendo may end up selling and putting out on the market, most third parties are just going to ignore it outright even if it is completely doable.

Yea E3 is not for public, but if you’re in DTLA I’d hang out in the general vicinity to get free stuff (NOS drinks, flyers, posters, etc.), you can also sit or walk inside the LACC as the actual E3 entrance is past the escalators/security, obviously, so step your kinda-there selfie game up.
I went to E3 back in 2009 by casual serpentining, with fake badge assist and minority security detail FTW, it was worth the trouble. However I saw an official 2014 badge and it’s too much work to ghetto that one up lol
Also, in person they do indeed continue selling badges at those prices but ask if you know someone in the industry prior to purchasing. I don’t think bribery/paying double/t-t-triple would work… unless you wait until the last day probably
So I’ve been messing with Watch Dogs for 4 days now. There’s a lot of things I like and some things I hate, such as:
Small nitpick, but the fact that he never gets tired ever while running is weird to me.
Chasing a guy, he shoots at me, I do a non-lethal takedown, somebody calls the police cause of gunshots, cops come after me even though I never used my gun. Really?
Cops/Fixers get on your ass way too quick. Even when you lose them, they somehow just come back behind you so quickly.
Car chases are trash. I actually have to slow down cause the other car is driving so slow.
I can’t look behind while walking/running?
The reputation system is half-assed. Being a “good guy” seems to only have Protector and Vigilante titles. There should’ve been more levels.
I can buy a soda in a burger joint, but not a burger?
That betting game with the ball and cups is bullshit. I followed it perfectly and lost at Lvl 2. There’s no way.
I boosted my hacking with the skill tree, now I get $8000-$15,000 when I hack people. Yet, like GTA, having tons of money is pointless.
I think this is a good foundation though and WD2 will be amazing.
Somebody got into my game and tried to hack me. Shot him in the face at point blank range when I found them, and they never even saw me until it was too late. Had to turn online invasions off though, they started getting annoying while doing campaign.

As someone that works with cameras and film, I have no fucking clue what he’s talking about, a game doesn’t look any less “filmic” at 60 FPS than it does at 30. Frame rate when applied to games affects the user’s experience playing the game not watching it. This is a really bad look for Ready at Dawn, because if they said “we chose better graphics at 30 FPS over worse graphics at 60 FPS” then a lot of people like myself would understand and appreciate their honesty, but no they had to fucking lie through their teeth to cover up the fact that they don’t have the knowledge/talent/whatever to achieve 1080p and 60 FPS.
See, Zoo… That is the kind of thing that pisses me off.
Just say, “We are too incompetent/ignorant of the architecture of the PS4 to achieve 1080p/60fps, so we had to make due for this game with 30fps… We will try harder in the future.”
Hate getting tired while sprinting, it’s a videogame. At least we don’t have to tap the fuckin button anymore.
Story wise I’m p sure police are aware of who Aiden Pierce is eventually so the cops coming after you makes some sense. Right from the beginning of the game NPCs bein like “hey isn’t that the vigilante?”
If you got a fast car you will dust cops and fixers. They have good cars, but not great. I got into a chase with them in a truck and I couldn’t go anywhere. But bikes and sports/muscle cars will smoke them.
Everything else you said I totally agree with. Money has no purpose past a certain point, aside from arming yourself with good guns earlier in the game.
Watch the video and you’ll know why. People expect more out of next gen after being stuck with ancient hardware for almost 10 years. We’re at a time where 4K is going to be the new resolution standard and most console games (well, Xbone) still can’t reach 1080p. More people are beginning to feel the difference between 30FPS and higher frame rates and beginning to see what they been told about 30FPS has been a load of shit.
PC players have cared about high resolutions and frame rates forever. Console players just sort of never expected it until HDTVs became so common. So now that the major consoles are promising this and not delivering, people are right to be mad.
Don’t forget that Sony and Microsoft claimed that their “bigger and better” machines were going to shit sunshine and piss rainbows out of your TV, raising the expectations… Because they goddamn sure aren’t doing anything to patch that performance deficit with new and exciting gameplay experiences-- Just the same shit we’ve already been playing, just shinier and with jankier frame rates… :bluu:
I said that the idea that graphics=innovation isn’t a acceptable marketing tool anymore because mechanically speaking the only difference between a ps2 game a ps4 game rest purely on the aesthetics…I believed I used GOW1 vs GOW3 as a example.
This is understandable…however wasn’t it our fault for believing 60FPS/1080p would become a standard.
God damn Arc did such a good job with Xrd from an artistic and presentation standpoint. I just have to decide whether I wanna wait to buy it on PS4 or just get the PS3 version.
