I don’t have it anymore lol… Sold it along with MH3U. I simply can’t seem to stick with those games on the 3DS, even though they’re some of my favorite series.
Uh…I think it’s cartridge if past experience is to go by but I’m not 100% on that.
Either way you’d probably be better off starting over anyway considering the plot…and the fact that if you’re anything like me, you got through most of the game half-assing it as it is. Man I could’ve done so much better on my first DDD run.
Dat persecution complex. Especially on the Internet, Nintendo is one of the few game companies whose devotees & supporters greatly outnumber/drowns out its actual detractors. Valve would be another example.
I’m no expert, but I would say if there doesn’t seem to be an overwhelming amount of Nintendo fans on SRK, it would be because they haven’t made a console that is the definitive system for fighters since the SF2 Turbo days.
That’s cute, but no one in GD really plays fighters that much anymore… Hell, you niggas just spent the last dozen or so posts talking about Kingdom Hearts, and how many times do you guys bring up Final interrupted by pretentious cutscene Fantasy?
Don’t even get me started on all the crying that was done when Bayonetta 2 was announced for the Wii U…
I want this to be a spiritual sequel to Wipeout HD, but the physics seem flat and very Wipeout Fusion. Wipeout without hover physics is stepping into F-Zero territory, and is just redundant and inferior.
So, been playing through Persona 3 for close to a month now…how long does it take to actually finish this game? I was expecting somewhere around the 30 hour mark (because that’s how long a friend of mine said it took her to beat it) but I’m at about 26 hours now and it doesn’t seem like I’m ANYWHERE close to reaching the end. I just got told that there will be 12 big shadows I have to fight but I’ve only seen 3 or 4…
I’m really liking it so far, this being my first Persona game. But I do have a ton of gripes with it. For example:
-Why the fuck can’t I control every party member?
-Why is grinding SO encouraged? I mean sometimes it’s fun to grind in a game, but this game seems to make it a huge chore.
-Why does establishing Social Links take SO long just for one person? It sucks even more because you can only hang out with ONE PERSON A DAY.
-Why is raising your Charm, Academics or Courage so damn hard? And what do they really even do?
Like, sometimes I’m just confused as to how I should even be approaching the game. For instance, when I’m in Tartarus should I be going straight for the next staircase or should I be exploring and whatnot? I’ve already learned that there’s about 265 floors, and I’m only on 60. It seems like the only thing that matters is getting to the next boss floor and beating it ASAP so the next week cycle can start and unlock the pathway leading further up on the next full moon.
I really want to get this game done so I can start P4 Gold for my Vita. I bought it a month and a half ago and haven’t even put it in yet, lmao.
Never played P3 but I have played P4G, and what I do in the dungeons is make a B Line for the highest floor I can get to, (Usually the top floor) then spend the rest of the week or so doing things like being social, grinding, establishing or building the social links, that kind of stuff. Then on the last day I finish the top floor and proceed to the next week. So yea my strat has been to get the bulk of the dungeon done as fast as possible in order to have the free time to do other things. This bite me in the ass once and I lost a whole weeks worth of work, but better planning and management of my time and my second shot at it went smooth as silk.
If none of this makes sense for P3 then just ignore my ass, but if it was helpful then cool.
That makes sense. I wasn’t even sure that they brought back the Tartarus layout for 4, but going about it like that would probably be a lot better than what I’m doing. Usually I just get to the highest floor possible, then when I can’t progress any farther I spend all my time in the real world doing social links, random other shit, ect until the next full moon happens and lets me keep moving up the tower.
I believe I’ve also heard that you can somehow pass down abilities through Persona fusion? How does that work? I’ve tried doing this but I haven’t really been able to do it with success yet.
I really don’t know dude cuz again I’ve only played P4G and none of the others. I don’t even know what the Tartarus set up is, sounds like the game has one dungeon, in P4G I’ve been through 7 different dungeons so far, each one is only like 10 or 11 floors.
I also can’t talk about Fusion in P3 cuz I have no idea if it is the same or not. In P4 you just combine them from a compatibility list, and it tells you what the new Persona will be from the fusion and what abilities will pass along, they even let you select some abilities from a menu. You bonuses depending on what day of the month it is that you do a particular fusion on.
You can control them by changing to “direct command”.
Grinding isn’t really encouraged , it’s just the way Tartarus is designed that makes it repetetive and boring after awhile.
Considering that the links strengthen you/the personas , i guess it would only be natural for it taking longer to “get”.
Also…If i remember things correctly , you need the highest charm and academics to be able to bang Mitsuru :0
They also mention how other older games could be revived through similar methods. Of course it all requires a hacked/jailbroken PS3 unless they find an exploit for regular consoles.
