You don’t have to play P3 to play P4G, but if that’s what you wanna do, by all means, go for it.
You have to go through the options (I think you do it by talking to the characters while in Tartarus) to directly control other characters. The left the option to have the computer do everything since that’s how the original P3 was.
Social Links are beyond me as well. I don’t really care about doing a whole bunch of them, but last time I played, I just focused on one until it was done, then I continued on from there.
Charm and Academics and shit allow you to open up more people to talk to, leading to more Social Links.
If it is anything like P4G then the Social Links are super important. They power up the related persona to that link, as well as increase the types of persona you can create through Fusion.
Did not know I could take direct control though. Holy fucking shit, that would have been sooooo nice to know earlier in the game. Why is that not the default mode of play.
Lol 30 hours, it took me almost 100 to finish it, and I didn’t even grind that much
-If you’re on PSP, you can control your party by switching to direct command in the combat menu
-As far as Tartarus, you should just run to the floor with the save point on it. If you can’t kill the floor boss, then grind until you can, but it really shouldn’t be an issue, since the game ain’t that hard
-yeah, S. links are important because they allow you to level up your fused Personas more, plus you get beneficial abilities from fusing. If you want to fuse one with an ability from another one, de-select and re-select them until that spell shows up.
-Raising abilities gives you more S. links. You’ll find them around town when you do.
Good choice on playing this one first. It has it’s faults, but I found it to be better than 4. The story and characters are excellently done. But yeah, if you’re weak at heart, it’ll crush you, lol.
Persona 3 is long as fuck especially since you find out 90% of the plot early so the game is almost entirely filler and it truly does drag. Its still great but the pacing is god awful to me
Pretty sure it’s just academics you need, but yeah, she was #1 on my bang list, so I made damn sure I had that shit maxed, lol
Funnily enough, it takes the same amount of time to finish both if you go the true ending route in 4. They’re both long games, so it matters less in the end.
This developer has made some questionable otaku pandering games, but this looks pretty interesting and devoid of that. Liking the popup effect of background elements.
