Video Game General 2.0: Yo Dawg I Heard You Like Remasters And Ports

While I’d agree that 3 is the favorite for me as well as many others and stands very tall as a gaming masterpiece I wouldn’t say that it is so far above the other games in the series that it warrants argument

Just report Eagles & move on if you really think he’s Rik. Dude is very much so not wanted on SRK

We inquired about Ubisoft’s relationship with Nintendo.

“It’s very simple,” Guillemot says. “What we see is that Nintendo customers don’t buy Assassin’s Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers.” In fact, across Ubisoft’s portfolio, Nintendo home console sales only represent three percent of the total for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014. That’s down a percentage point from the previous year.

The company isn’t abandoning Nintendo entirely. Rather, it is simply shifting its focus on the platform. “What we see is that they are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games," Guillemot says. “So what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in.”

Watch Dogs is the exception to this new rule. Ubisoft has promised the title for Wii U, and as of now, that version is still in the works. “[Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U,” he assures. “It will be the only mature game we publish on it.”

I don’t blame them, M rated games don’t sell for shit on Wii or Wii U, but unfortunately Ubisoft is a big company and losing M rated support from then is a big deal to Nintendo I’m sure. I guess Wii U gamers don’t like M rated games or buy them for other systems, speaking of which how much do you guys predict Bayonetta 2 will sell?

Bayo’s sales depends on how it’s marketed. I’d be very surprised if it hit the 1mil mark. I think it has less to do with ratings and more to do with owning other platforms but eh it’s a big whatever. Fuck ubisoft.

Watch_Dogs’ll probably sell like shit for the Wii U but ubisoft only have themselves to blame for that.

Ass Creed and the rest of Ubisoft’s shitty library, shouldn’t be used as a reference point to gauge the interest of “M” rated games on the Wii-U.

Generally speaking, any Wii-U owner over the age of 17, didn’t buy the console to play the same mass manufactured bullshit which gets plopped out of the “Triple A” publishers collective assess, ad infinitum. The exclusive niche titles seem to appeal towards the older demographic on Nintendo platforms.

If I had a Wii-U, I would rather spend $60 on Bayonetta 2 than a shitty port of Watch Dogs (an inherently shitty game).

It’s not thinking he is, he is. The dude’s posting style never changes.

Brohei Broshida talks about the 10 mil PS4 sales

*Shuhei Yoshida: The 10m sell through in the first nine months is well beyond what we had hoped for. As you know, we have struggled to keep up with demand of PS4 for so many months. It was hard to find and purchase PS4. Now we are able to supply units so in every territory I believe you can find PS4. So we just managed to catch up with demand.

It’s just beyond our imagination. We are so happy. But I for one am a bit nervous because we do not completely understand what’s happening. You need to understand why your products are selling well so you can plan for the future, right? It defied the conventional thinking. Lots of people thought the dedicated game hardware might not be needed going forward, but still lots of people are very excited. When you see the new games coming out and being announced this E3 and Gamescom, I think there’s a good enough reason for a gamer to believe this is something worth investing in.*

You should know by now that trying to have a meaningful discussion with Rik is out of the table

Whether you like Raiden or not, he was not a calculated character by Kojima. Raiden was literally created by focus tests Kojima did to try to get more women to play his game, Kojima himself talks about it in detail.

I disagree.

I can appreciate plots that don’t talk down to you and that require some effort to understand, but MGS2 is just convoluted for the sake of being convoluted.

And how sane are they? This is not a line of thought that ever works out well for those who think being like THEM is good.

Ubisoft is abandoning the Wii U. That’s just a long time winded answer to look neutral in case Nintendo pulls it’s head out of it’s ass and starts coming strong again. Gotta maintain that business relationship .

Rayman legends was pretty good, but I don’t care for most of ubisofts other offerings. Oh yeah, and child of light.

Still want to pick up ZombiU, since the demo is awesome and it’s cheap, but time isn’t allowing it right now

“Out of the table.”

Jesus Christ, Hecatom. You’re the best.

I personally found the latter half of the article more intriguing; where Ubisoft touches upon the new EA Access distribution model:

Insert and-here-we-go.gif :bluu:

To its credit, at least Ubi didn’t take its ball & go home with Uplay, & continues to offer its current games for sale via other digital vendors. Gonna be an interesting (and by interesting, I mean dismal) gen if each & every pub is left to their own devices regarding digital distribution.

pours one out for Sega Channel

That sucks. I wrote this last year about C&D-ing fan made games. I wish these things didn’t happen, but this is especially bad in Konami’s case because they granted permission before.

Sega Channel was the best 70 rotating games a month for $15!
