You’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t right now.
It’s funny, people gave S-E a LOT of shit for not making FFXV and KH3 PS4 exclusives, and now they’re giving them shit for making RotTR a TIMED X1 Exclusive.
The hypocrisy is grand. “Do anything…as long as it doesn’t benefit Microsoft in any way.” I don’t even want an X1 or like Microsoft that much but I’m really starting to get annoyed at this sort of shit.
Tomb Raider been pretty good since Crystal Dynamics took over in 2005. Their first Tomb Raider reboot is a trilogy of good games. Lara Croft and the Temple of Light is their best TR game imo.
Tomb Raider has been one of my favorite series since I played it on my cousin’s PC back in the day. Anybody else remember how you could explore the mansion in one of the games and the butler would fart if you bumped into him? That was one creepy motherfucker… He would just come out of nowhere and be standing right next to you, or you would just hear his ominous ass footsteps and not know where he was.
Which game was that? I remember you can go in the mansion in Tomb Raider 2 and use the training course as a tutorial and do speedruns. I don’t remember the butler were being there.
I spent the majority of my time with these games running around the mansion, swan-diving into the pool, and trying the escape The Butler™, because I was too scared to face the tigers .
I remember playing in the mansion, but not enough to see the butler. My cousin had the PSX but I was still rocking the Genesis but eyeing the Saturn at the time so obviously didn’t spend too much time with it as I would’ve liked.
Didn’t that just turn into FFXV?
I’m really liking the way the new Metal Gear is shaping up. This being an odd numbered MG makes much more sense. I like MGS2 at the time but can’t go back to it. Shit bosses and the most boring level design, ever. MGS4 was coo’, but it felt like something was holding it back despite having cool stuff to play it with. Like the feeling of waiting for the OMG-moment but it never happened.
Phantom Pain seems like it’ll build off of 4’s tech and then some (didn’t play Peace Walker), and I’m liking what I saw. MG 1&2, MGS1&3, Rising are the best in the series, and I’m hoping PP can be mentioned along side them.
See how that tiger came out of nowhere? I couldn’t do it :shake:. Man…these games were sooo good. Let me go check if they’re available for purchase on PSN…
Been almost 10 years since we found out about that game and it will remain the game that never was until I’m actually playing it with my own hands, and looking at it with my own eyes.
Phantom Pain is pretty much expanding on Peace Walker’s gameplay which I enjoyed. Now we don’t have to deal with the limitations of the PSP.
Because you linked to it, I actually did watch the video in its entirety.
I think the points made are indeed valid, but I don’t feel strongly about the issue itself. In fact, the cool-to-hate “fuck EA/ Ubisoft” attitude is only as obnoxious as the things these irate gamers willingly subject themselves to on a regular basis.
Don’t like EA? Stop buying their games. This has at least 2 benefits:
You will have one less thing to bitch about
I won’t have to listen to you bitch
I rarely buy EA games, as they don’t typically make games that appeal to me. That said, on the rare occasion I do, I’m usually quite satisfied. Being that they are EA games, I make sure to do plenty of research to see if I’m going to be jerked around ahead of time. Marginally more so than I do when deciding on games put out by other publishers.
Apologies are almost invariably insincere, regardless of who is issuing them.
By the way. I fucking hate what Capcom has become. The last Capcom game I purchased was Marvel VS Capcom 3. You can find me saying they are a shit company here and there. But I never act like I’m being victimized by them. Because I wouldn’t let that happen more than once.
I never played Tomb Raider actually owning it, but I did pick it up for a bit at a friends house and locked the butler in the freezer. If you waited long enough and went in there he would disappear. We assumed he died.
