I just start an XBL party because it puts the game in offline mode. They dont want you communicating with people out of game. So I start one before the main menu pops up, offline mode, no pvp while I just play some DS
Tomb Raider made a boat load of money and was one of the better selling games, Square is known for having unreachable goals for their game sales. TR more then made its money back. The game is also supposedly coming out holiday of this year, this was clearly just MS giving them quite a bit of money for making this an exclusive.
Kojima’s involvement in SH is like his involvement in the Castlevania reboot, not at all. It is simply a name attachment to get internet people interested. Whether the game is good or not will have nothing to do with Kojima.
Yea I know Silent Hill has it’s fans and I’m happy for them, but I don’t care for Silent Hill much and would much rather have a new ZOE/Policenauts/Snatcher/ something along those lines.
A bit of the first and a bit of Second Runner. Admittedly never really got to go that deep because it was late in my PS2’s lifespan. My controllers no longer work very well on it.
They’re just reaaaaaaally polished beat 'em ups. On the box of the HD Collection it says “High Speed Robot Action” and that’s exactly what it does. The original was the Killer App in picking up a PS2. The MGS2 demo and SSX were added bonuses, but the previews just blew my mind at the time. The controls in are sublime to the point that I can boost, flip, skate, and fly and be cool with that. I remember when I came home with it, I just moved and danced around with the games controls the entire time.
2nd Runner took it to another level with just about everything and kept the controls intact. The stylized cutscenes helped the story, but the graphics were just on another level. It proves why 60fps is so important to gameplay, even though it’s not the only one to use them during it’s time or even before, in 3D. The Dodge mechanic in Sin and Punishment Star Successor gave me ZOE feels, which is even made more awesome with the Wiimote.
Man Konami was on fire back then with their Sony output.
From '04-'06 it was regularly mentioned in the trifecta of action games, here and elsewhere. DMC, ZOE, and NG were like the 3 pillars to making great action games. Now you bring up ZOE and people are like “…uhhh…”
