Why are you acting like Onimusha stole from RE4 and God of War?
The trilogy started and ended before both games came out.
Better to say Onimusha was just Resident evil with swords since thats what it was supposed to be.
Sword controller was bad, but its not like the chainsaw controller was any better.
Reason it got so many games was because each game sold well.
What the last good movie Jean Reno was in? (foreign films don’t count) The 1998 Godzilla movie? Oh I know The Pink Panther 2, that so cemented Jean Reno as a tough action movie actor.
Last good anything Jean Reno appeared in was Leon: The Professional and that was ho-hum at best.
Hollywood? Lately if it isn’t based off as book or comic, Hollywood been sucking.

It suuuucks :shake:. I’d rather they just put the Shadows in as bosses that aren’t actually playable. Shadow Rise does NOT have a Persona, it becomes one. When I first played P4A, I hadn’t gotten into P4G… Now that I’ve beaten it, I’m going to be a lot more critical of the game.

Eh, it’s not bad. The Auto Combo crap annoyed me at first, but I grew to really like the game.
The Persona games are turn based right?..yup still not interested.
Taking turns in combat got boring to me after I beat the Jade Cacoon and Saga Frontier series which I loved. Give me Bayonetta style combat or at least anything where I actually have input in the combat, I don’t get how you guys can bitch about QTEs in other games, but be perfectly fine watching your characters do cool looking attacks that you have no control on.

I’ve probably spent just as much if not more time on turn based JRPGs than most gamers in my childhood, hell I replayed Chrono Trigger DS last year and still consider it a masterpiece. I blame BioWare, they spoiled after I played their games I just lost interest in the turn based stuff like why eat a shitty, rotten week old burger when I can have fillet mignon? BioWare games (at least the ones I’ve played) serve as rare examples in gaming where you can have your cake and eat it too. The fun of action games+the fun of RPGs>>>>>>the fun of RPGS+the flaws of RPGs.
Wayward Souls is incredible! one of the best RPGs I’ve played in a long time, it really is a 2D top down Dark Souls, this is what I’ve been looking for :love:

Any ways my point was Onimusha what was almost called Sengoku Biohazard was a cash grab to monopolize on the success of early Resident Evil games without making RE games.
Games like Dino Crisis also fit into the mold.
