Vid Clips of SFA3 V-ism Character VC's on Youtube

I saw something nasty with V-Chun’ today.
I got knocked down in the corner, and then they activated and did RH lightning kicks, and instead of getting pushed back, I got hit by like all the shadows doing it at once. I got hit like 24 times in the span of a second, and I’m willing to bet I would gotten hit longer if my guard hadn’t broke almost instantly. Did a shitload of damage too.

How do you crouch cancle cna you show me plz? with Sagat btw

Never seen this before.
Guy favourited his own video. Strange dude.

heh, that guy plays online and is supposedly better than Eishi

Any chance you could do Cody next Xeno?
I got a few VC1 combos I stole from the Japanese if you want them and don’t know them already.
The bottom 3 are ones I saw in recent a-cho videos, and the top 3 are ones I made up after seeing those that’ve served me pretty well so far.

VC1: c.LK > qcf+MK x2 > c. MP, qcf+MK > FP, qcf+MK (x3), RH, qcf+MK 'till corner
(RH, qcb+LP xn), then whiff c. MP (shadow hits) > :uf: LK > CC LK’s.

VC1: (Anti-air) c. RH > qcf+MK x2 > c. MP, qcf+MK > etc.

VC1: (Anti-air) c. LP/MP, qcf+RH, qcb+LP > c. MP, qcf+MK > etc.

VC1: (Near corner) c. LK, qcf+MK, qcb+LP > (RH, qcb+LP xn), etc.

VC1: (Near corner) (Anti-air) qcf+RH, qcb+LP > (RH, qcb+LP xn), etc.

(Not guaranteed. All depends whether you hit them after they flip)
c. LK > qcb+LP > Jump forward (Activate VC1): FP/LP/LK > CC :uf: FP 'till corner > qcb+LP >
(RH, qcb+LP xn) > etc.

The c. FK > qcf+MK one still gets you to the corner faster, but these ones let you start the VC with a fast hitting low, since the timing for connecting it to the ruffian kick is more forgiving in VC1.
They all work with c. MP as a starter as well.

It is slightly awkward, since the full screen one just barely gets you from one corner to the other, but it’s worked everytime I’ve used it. You just can’t let them fall too low before you toss out the next s. FP.

Also, I used c. MP for the whiff, because s. FP will miss if you’re too close up against the corner, and the RH > qcb+LP’s keep the opponent too low to the ground most of the time for the FP to whiff anyway. Alternatively you can always use s. MP or just hit them with FP/LP and hope they don’t air block.

Occasionally, you’ll end up switching sides after you do the whiff if you’re P2, so you can just CC from one side to the other.

Also, for the first combo, it’s (s. FP, qcf+MK) x3, sorry.

(Apparently SRK doesn’t let you edit posts after 30 minutes now).

Posting those made me go and fool around a bit more with his VC’s and I think I made one up that I haven’t seen before.
There’s no reason to use this over his BnB one, unless you’re trying to show off or something:

VC1: c. LK > qcf+MK x 2 > c.MP, qcf+MK > FP, qcf+MK xn, then RH, qcf+MK as you get into the corner > (Very very late) c. LP, qcf+MK (Change sides) > c. MP, qcf+MK > FP, qcf+MK x n > c. MP, qcf+MK > whiff s. FP/c. MP > :uf:+LK > CC LK’s.

You can also mix in c. MP’s instead of just doing (FP/RH, qcf+MK) xn for the other VC’s. So you could do something like RH, qcf+MK > c. MP, qcf+MK > RH, qcf+MK x 2 which gets you to the corner a tiny tiny bit faster.
This also means that you can essentially start the infinite at any point during the VC.
Just whiff s. FP off any c. MP, qcf+MK, let the shadow hit and go.

You can do a similar switch sides thing with his RH ruffian kick anti-air VC by whiffing qcf+MK instead of qcb+LP as well, and from there you just c. MP, qcf+MK and then go to the other corner.

Sorry if you know all this already, but at least somebody reading might get something out of it, because when people talk about Cody, all I see is VC2 stuff, but after watching recent Japanese videos and playing a lot myself, I honestly believe his VC1 stuff is just about as good.
Who cares if you get to the corner slower when you can just CC infinite mid-screen?

(I hope they let you edit your shit again. Spreading this across 3 posts is gay).

Fuck, I forgot to say. The c. MP whiff only applies if you let the opponent fall pretty low in the corner. Otherwise stick with FP.
Also, if you’re near the corner, you can start the change sides VC with:
c. MP/LK > qcf+MK x2.

Depending on how close you are to the corner, it might actually be a better idea to use this VC instead of trying to CC infinite from the RH, cyclone loop, since it’s way easier to start it away from the corner with VC1.
Also, this goes without saying, but you might want to use jumping FP to move them to the corner after a mid screen start-up so you don’t have to juggle them like 20 more times to make up for the difference in damage.

Once you change sides, stick with FP, qcf+MK > c. MP, qcf+MK instead of what I listed earlier. It’ll work better.
The standard (FP > qcb+LP) works in the corner as well, and it’s easier to CC off of, but the timing for the loop itself is somewhat more strict in VC1, and it’s easier to cross-over by accident.

Someone do me a favour and meld this all into one post.

Yeah, I guess I’ll get started on Cody sometime soon.

And yeah, this new no-editing rule sucks really bad. I’ll have to start bugging the mods just so I can update the first post with links and stuff (wonderful). :bluu:

Thats awesome work. I’m looking forward to your Adon combos!

Update: Added Cody

Well, I agree with Kyokuji – VC1 is better for Cody. For both his CC setups.

Thanks.

I have to say, those are much fancier than the ones I’ve been using.
Should’ve put the switch sides one in just for fun though :stuck_out_tongue:

One question. How do you grab them at the end of the VC? Do they have to flip first or something?

It has a high vertical hitbox. So you need them to be fairly high in the air (above you) to grab them. Also, it may be character specific like Karin’s kick throw, but I’m not sure. I would recommend learning it though, since it’s a pretty strong slam throw.

Also, I don’t really know if your meter needs to end before you do it or not. Never bothered testing, sorry.

Did you already post the Akuma transcript? If so where?

thanks

Xenozip, Once you are done the 28 characters from the original SFA3, are you going to do videos for Guile, Fei-Long, T. Hawk, and Dee Jay?

He’s using an emulator to do these so I doubt he’ll be doing VC’s for anyone that isn’t in the arcade version.
Someone else already did Deejay, T. Hawk and Guile anyway.

Hasn’t been posted yet, sorry. I’ll try and get to it after this next vid clip is done.

Yeah, pretty much. DJ, Hawk, and Guile’s look great to me. I appreciate TS and Boxer posting them.

Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure Middlekick also already has a wonderful V-R.Mika video tutorial.

damn xenozip nice stuff

If possible, could someone transcribe Dhalsim’s Vism Combos?

Cheers in advance.

Don’t think you really need one. Dhalsim’s normals are all pretty distinctive.
Does Sodom have a ‘true’ anti-air VC? His LK > Strong Scrape one only works if they empty jump or do a really early jump attack, and all the other ones I’ve tried are either way too slow, or they reset the opponent too far away so you can’t continue the juggle.
