Vergil combo thread 2.0

Hey guys. Not totally sure if people know about this already or not, but I thought I would share a helpful little tip for Vergil. As most Vergil players know, when you plan to end a combo with maximum bubbles you should have them at the center of the screen to maximize damage.(similar to weskers) So after a hard knockdown such as helm breaker in the corner good vergil players know to tele to the other side before doing high time into maximum bubbles. This is was is suppose to be done but I find that dashing after the tele before high time adds damage more often than not. It’s all about getting them in the middle of the screen after all. It’s quite a quick motion but it doesn’t take much to learn. Forming the habit is the hard part. Additionally I think it also helps to get that extra hit at the end of maximum bubbles in order to follow up with another. And that is my tip. Dash after teleporting. Good day gentlemen.

What’s the optimal raw swords combo (opponent standing)? I’m trying to learn the buster swap extension in the OP, but is that just a swag combo? I see a lot of vergils do :h:'s and teleports.

Raw swords? Probably just do what you would off of a rapid slash confirm. Soooo I guess :dp::atk::atk:(hold L)>s:h:>Stinger>:m: teleport>s:h:>Release trip>c:h:>:qcf::l:(hold L)>s:h:>Stinger(wall bounce)>:m: teleport>:s:xx:h:(upperslash)>release trip>c:h:>:qcf::l:>c::h:>:dp::atk::atk:(hold L)>:dp::m:>Release trip>c:h:>:qcf::l:>c:h:>:dp::m:>:df::h:
I guess that would be the template. I only like to use 2 bars per combo which is why I stopped there. You can do more reps of the sword loop or just end with maximum bubbles. Also be sure to add in any assist extensions you have. Good day.

What’s the trick to doing this? I’m teleporting as fast as i can and start wave dashing but the body takes too long to get to doom.

You have to be as far below the body as you can before Helm Breaker so you hit the ground faster than the opponent. You can do this multiple ways, i’m not a Vergil player ( still learning ) but the common ways I would do it are st.S, delay SJ as much as you can so they fly higher than you, then jump and j.H, Helm Breaker. The other way is st.S, j.M as fast as possible to stop your jumping momentum, then Helm Breaker.

Not sure if similar combos have been posted before, but I made a short vid featuring Doom raw tag. Can kill Thor if you start with 2 bars.

Pretty neat, definitely stealing. Probably going to add HM extension after DHCing Vergil back in.

Unless somethin similar has been posted , I found an improved SS corner loop. I’ve been using HB,HB,RT,wait ,l.ds, lunar assault. It builds more than derp loop. I found you can add more.

HB, S, tk round trip,l.ds,l.ds, lunar assault. It does 30k more and builds more meter . You get meter from a full dimension slash and the lunar assault Yay. Possibly you could get meter from both dimension slashes but it’d be tight.

Update: if you time it all correctly you do get meter for both dimension slashes and the last few hits of round trip.

UPDATE: you can do:
HB, S, tk round trip + rt glitch (use m for glitch) l.ds , l.ds, c.h,s,h,Rt + glitch( use m), delay s, delay h, l.ds, c.h,6h, Rt, c.h, l.ds ,c.h, lunar assault. Its an improved version of the last ender on front page. Yw .

I’ve also got some midscreen stuff with rt glitch I’m gonna optimize and post later.

Just a note for Dante/Vergil users the best combo you can use is clay pigeon loop with no wall bounce. It does just enough damage that you can dhc and build over a bar with vergil and do 1 mil with said bar leftover. Its broke as fuck.

Why is it near impossible to do high time into raw super on a stick without doing the teleport cancel > super but its so easy/free on a pad? lol. I don’t understand that concept. Man these adjustments xD

Edit: Ah, on a pad I use the one button super which is L+M+H, on a stick I just use L+M to super, makes sense.

Are you hitting :qcf:+:atk::h:? You have to use a :h:. Doing that causes a teleport as you do the hyper.

Update for the shit I posted yesterday. The 2nd round trip glitch isn’t necessary, the 1st one may not be either but I get it off s.s without even trying.

Yep. Both aren’t necessary. Just always charge with m after the first rt

I think you can use Mag’s hyper grav assist (I use it in my Vergil combos to save a groundbounce for raw tag to Frank West). I know, I know…“but no disruptor?!?” Well, you’re using Mag on point, so whatever…maybe you’ll lose an otg on your team hyper?

TAC, as vergil comes in charge RT, jMMHd+H. Land, call Mag and high time(don’t trick), when you land from high time, immediately release RT, cr.H, judgement cut L, cr.H, stinger, trick M, cr.H, SS

There’s a video a ways up on this page showing how to use doom missiles to otg on the way TAC ending with d+H, call doom and trick M, then dash dash etc would work, right?

Why cant I get cr.H after 236L for the sword loop. Like I feel like this is the easier part of the loop.

Because the timing is tricky. It happens to everyone. The more you do it the less you’ll drop it. But, you’ll never not drop it.
