I haven’t played anyone yet, but Vega still feels the same.
I suck at U1 motion, but I’m assuming if I could do it better, I’d use that Ultra most of the time instead of select matches.
SHC buff is well still stupid.
FA buff was pretty cool, we probably have the furthest reaching FA (outside of Hakan) now since the buff+kara.
I’ve yet detected any ninja buff/nerfs as well, Vega will be solid in this game.
guys i am sorry but i can’t notice any difference in FA range.
The exact maximum range can be checked by moving to point blank range of opponent (i tested it with ken),hit with s.roundhouse then walk a TINY pixel and FA.
It worked exactly the same way both in super and vanilla
wierd way of checking it, i would prefer it if u came to a conclusion while using the trainingstage squares or something.

I could have swore that i when I tested it last night it only hit when his claw was halfway in in AE and at the tip in 2012…
might have been different characters
and yeah I used the squares. His FA range is exactly 1 large square.

Is it just me or does c.MK do 10 more damage now? IIRC they both c.MP and c.MK did 60 damage in AE, both did 70 in Super, just c.MK is back up to 70 now. So I guess my main bnb used during footsies does 1% more damage now…
I recall hearing that they, without telling anyone, that they increased Izuna’s Drop range while also nerfing its damage from Super => AE. Well I just checked now and Izuna Drop does 150 damage in both Super and AE2012. If it’s true that its damage was nerfed, it’s been reverted now.
Nope, crMK always did 70. crMP alone was nerfed in AE (yaeh and the knee hit of EX FBA and cr HK).
cmk was always 70…it scaped the nerf in AE somehow…(Vega is one weird guy…he actualy deals more damage by kicking your foot than stabbing you with iron claws in the stomag)…glad to know it is still 70 that was one very likely steath nerf

The changes state that U1 will whiff less if hitting an airborne opponent. This is the height it will still whiff at.
Counter Hit cMK to U2 was removed in super due to the increased startup of U2. With the decrease in startup, it is once again possible.
still trying to get a grounded CH to U1… like we could do with U2… dont think it’s possible though

Good work man. And sadly I was right, this buff is the U1 version of trial 24. We won’t see it in any pro match until the day we die.
grounded CH to U1 isnt possible… U1 whiffs.
plus it would be stupidly hard to pull off.
Nice…thanks for the videos…what aplications do you guys see in these changes?..CH–>U1 may serve as a punish for whifed or blocked reversal…but then again you could just do naked ultra 1 and you actually would do more damage if you strike with the knee…ch cmk -->U2 is a one frame link and is impossible to use on reaction…only possible if you know you are going to get a counterhit…trade EX fba…its very rare and once you get it most people only react fast enought to do cr HK…
i usually end trade EX FBA with CH lol. I need to stop that though

Love that counter-hit into U2 though.
if you strictly go off the counter hit showing up on the screen it’s impossible…
but if you’re paying attention you can usually tell before the move hits if it’s going to be a counterhit
