It definitely feels safer since it is now -3, but it is still unsafe at point-blank range. I think Jimmy aka “Mr. Naps” punshed with crouch jabs into a combo every time I did it too close. I’ll have to re-watch the footage again to make sure.

i was looking for the rainbow and saw the match against Jimmy. The only CH you got punished for that was “unsafe” was a counterhit… so you were pressing buttons.

Yea you still gotta remember Reiketsu is one of the best top Vega players we have. If he can’t really do anything that what other Vega players can do.

Anyone with this game now that it’s live (Currently isn’t in the EU) wanna reel off if Vega’s CH > U1 has to be AA/absolute pixel maximum or not to work?
actually IMO it’s easier than in AE… although it could be because i did so many attempts on it. It does need to be AA though. The trick is to do it just before they land. Like literally they are at knee level.

FA buff is really noticable. it used to to go halfway through the claw… now it goes to the tip.
everything else other than the listed changes feels exactly the same.
no iframes on any ST
no hitbox buff on cHP or sHK
no faster startup on any RCF
no ST to U1 at all. (even tried just 1 hit on MK and HK versions) goes right through.
all his normals feel exactly the same.

Just checked the data for damage and stun and nothing hidden…yet. testing specials now
just remember that EX SHC will not whiff on anyone anymore including vega… so you better start blocking it.

Edit 3: as far as damage stun and properties, nothing else has changed. I cannot say for certain on hitboxes though (except cHP and sHK)
are you sure about claw strike nerf?..remember it does diferent damage depending on if it is a hk fba, mk fba or lk fba…i know you are most likely aware of this but i just wanted to make sure…i don’t know if ill be avaible to have the game yet i have the phisical copy of the disc and i heard is giving people a lot of troubles…

claw strike is unchanged.At first i thought they improved the startup of mp.roll as it comboed with cr.mk xx mp.roll on crouching chars at point blank range.
But this used to be working anyways in previous versions as well…

Just coming to report cosmic heel> u1 is AA cosmic heel only I even tried it on dhalsim, and I didn’t have enough charge to land it from max CH distance.
I’ll try counter hit CH but I doubt it.
It feels impossible to me to use U1 combo on grounded opponent, not enough charge time.
how about SHC on block is it still like -20 on block?..i was hopping that it will recover faster or have more block stun or meaby more push back…is it posible to fallow up sch on hit whit something?..like cmp meaby?..anyway cosmic hell into U1 AA only is a mild dissapointment but within what was expected…happy to know there is no claw strike nerf…i wouldn’t have being surprise if that was the case…also the FA was actualy buffed and not as some people have sugested just a pointless change extending the hitbox towards vega…(it wouldn’t have been such a surprise)…meaby there is a change in the juggle after CH…CH->U2 may be slightly easier…(i couldn`t do it even in super anyway)
Been playing a bit this morning, no ninja buffs/nerfs detected yet.
U1 can juggle off of a CH like in trial 24, no big deal. I suspect it will juggle better off of a EX-FBA trade but its going to be quite hard to do. Still going to stick with U2.
Big change is that +1 to CH.
RCF cancels are still 1-frame links even off of EX, so no adjustments to dash I don’t think. FA looks samey, cr.LK doesn’t combo into cr.LP. Can’t juggle ST into U1 ever, Vega still beautiful.
