Have you seen Yun and Yang’s changes? Wow. I doubt we will be seeing many Yun and Yang mains. I already did well against Yun and Yang in AE. This match is so much easier now. I am mainly happy about Makoto nerfs. All I wanted was for her to get her Super HP back (950) because I felt that she was a bit too powerful. But they nerfed her some more which will make that match just that much better.
I am kind of dissappointed that Zangief got buffed and not nerfed. I find that to be a very hard MU in AE. The fact that he could U2 EX FBA and back dashes and jumps, as well as punish CH and RCF (via reversal LP SPD) so easily makes this match dumb.
I said this in the rose forums aswell but with all the multitude of buffs that other characters have gotten. Are you worried that Vega may actually turn out worse than he is now?

I think part of the problem with Zangief, is that you are forced to walk back, and don’t have the ability to make him guess or take risks. Cosmic heel was so useful in this match up. May be me though, bullying Zangief was pretty good way to go about winning that match up.

Yun seems still quite viable even after the big nerfs as they improved the frame advantage of dive kicks by 2 frames.
Yang was nerfed to oblivion we 'll be seeing him very rarely now imo
I still really wonder why all of mid or mid-high tiers(that were said to be on par with vega in the lists) got so much more love than vega …
Especially cody and guy got quite big buffs. Also why the hell they keep improving adon and ibuki? Vega once again seemed to get less attention than everybody else by developers
cody didn’t need all these buffs. Gief got heavily buffed. Yun still have his retarded palm and now he build even more meter. other char got major buff and where mid-tier. we were low and got almost nothing

Anyway… w/ these nerfs to the twins (especially Yun), Vega is very much back in the game again. They addressed every issue I had w/ Yun. Nerfed his TC4 (easily punishable), less reliable AA lk dp (especially for Vega who can probably jump in for free), command throws made **much **slower w/ no throw invincibility (YES!!!), and height restriction on dive kicks makes it easier to counter (judging from the direction they took w/ nerfing Yangs dive kicks, I think it’s safe to assume that Yuns dive kick isn’t going to be the threatening combo starter as it was before, even w/ the extra 2 frame hitstun). And of course, they nerfed his EX dash punch.
Coupled w/ the overall damage reduction… things are looking good for Vega.
Personally think it’s a little unfair that the rest of the roster got a huge list of buffs and we’re sat on so little. Ah well.
The nerfs to the twins is gonna make 2012 actually fun to play. Fuck the twins, seriously.

So, things did end up looking much better for mister matador, due to inderect buffs.
Fei having -8 on the second rekka makes it a huge liability, which makes rekka usage less. And in the event that it is used, it can be punished with less fear of that random 2nd rekka. less damage over all. I belive this may be in our favor now, where it used to be even.
Yun/Yang, don’t have access to that ridicoulus safe pressure nonsense any more. the increased height restriction may make st.hk a much more viable solution to dive kicks because of thier increased start up, reducing trades, and stop forcing jumps from Vega.
Akuma lost that over head demon flip thing. and options of foward throw are now limited. WHich in theory should limit Vortex options.
im still waiting on those hit boxes though capcom. although, looking at the list of changes, it makes sense why Vega got nothing really. well except for plus one on Cosmic heel. which leaves me at 0 at the ideal range, which means the opponent has to guess commit to something after blocking Cosmic Heel if he wants to do something.

Yeah other have long lists we have a short one so be it, there is going to be some testing anyway, and a second run , and nija fixes and whatnot.If you are looking for me i am off these patches topics and gone working on my punishes and execution, something that sucks more than any nerf in the game and that capcom cannot buff for me.

See here, by fixing the hitbox for U1 to not miss when set up, that also applies to any other air to air situation, so trying to jump over U1 will not miss 90% of the time. 10% of the time will probably be a well timed, hail mary kind of jump at the right time which is accidental.
