Someone in the front page commented that Bonchan was able to stuff most overheads from Smug with a DP. Anyone here can confirm this? If true, it is further proof of what I already suspected: good players can react and punish 14F overheads and therefore it is imperative to reduce the startup frames of overheads to something more reasonable like 11 or 12 frames.
He came to Mexico City and Sinaloa some time ago, I believe he’s in Dominican Republic right now, he was in France for the Kumite…and I think that’s it. Dam. Makes it even more impressive imo
Me and every other Evil Ryu player gets blown up by Rose all day every day. Daigo manages to make this look easy. He’s beaten Louffy 3-1 in a MM before Capcom Cup, 7-3 Canada Cup Masters Series, and now 5-1 today at Topanga World. But then again, he was consistently beating him when he was using Ryu as well so the match up is almost the same.
I think he has only lost once to Louffy and that was their very first encounter back in 09 when they were still playing Vanilla and Daigo, Fuudo, and Eita came to France for a tounament. Daigo came back to win in a double jeopardy match and I don’t think he’s lost to him since then.
Damn, Smug actually impressed me by doing so well today. Lost 4-5 to Sako’s Elena and beat Momochi 5-4, I really thought Sako was going to whoop him 5-0 and the Momo match could’ve gone either way, even though I had a feeling Momo would lose. Bonchan and Daigo are looking pretty unbeatable right now, while Sako and Xian are always a threat because of how solid they are.
I heard Momochi had a concussion thats why he missed the Red Bull event. Anyone know how did this happen? I wonder if its the reason he’s been doing so terrible lately.
Why do people keep bringing Xiao Hai to these events? I can think of at least 3 americans that would be much better, about 5 chinese/cingaporean that would definetly be more interesting than see him being bodied again and a thousand japanese players instead.
I wish i can find the post again, but i’m absolutely sure it wasn’t a rumour. He needed to go back to Japan for a checkup ,he wasn’t worried about it being anything serious but he still felt it was needed.
Yes, i can’t back it up at the moment and this is how misinformation is spread. If i find the link i’ll post it though.
If you’re talking about Topanga World, he finished 2nd in last years Topanga World so he automatically earned his spot back because of that. I think PR Rog, Infiltration, Fuudo, and Wao got dropped because they were the two lowest placing foreigners and Japanese. Don’t worry though, if Xiaohai keeps up his current level of play then he’ll get the boot.
