Darui? He’s the best Dhalsim player right now…and was always the best or second best.

Darui got contacted and can’t go out thanks to his work IIRC. That’s also the reason why he doesn’t go out to many tournaments.

Well Smug, Xiaohai, and Momochi all got destroyed on the 1st day of Topanga. Didn’t get to see how close the matches were, but Smug only won 2 games and the other two won only 3. At this point the only people I can see Smug beating are Luffy/Xiao/Poongko. Maybe he can beat Momochi since he seems kinda free to pressure, but anyone with really good footsies/defense seems to mollywhop him.
Yeah I said he would get crushed. He has little xp against true world class players.
On the bright side it will probably push him into a harder grind. He will level up a ton after this.
It should have pushed PR rog, but he blamed his character and now wants to retire.

Anytime you see Momochi lose, its almost always because he gets mixed up to death. You hardly ever see the guy lose in footsies, and if you do it’s from guys who are miles ahead of Smug in that department.
That doesn’t mean he’s free to mixup, it just means it’s the only way he loses.

Then Luffy isn’t the proper opponent for Smug,right? If Smug suffer players with good footsies and defense then Luffy doesn’t look free in those department.
I put Luffy because it seems he has trouble against pressure as well since he seems to always be doing something on wakeup even after being punished several times for it. I also don’t know if there are any strong Dudley players in France, so the matchup inexperience might affect his chances.
The only matchups that looks good for Smug is Xiao Hai and Poongko

Louffy is a good player and his character does well against Dudley
Ken is a good pick against Dudley too
Might be a PR Rog type result where Smug loses to all the mainstays of Topanga but roughs up the other two foreigners
So Luffy wins a match up he’s significantly advantaged in = people says he’s not overrated.
In the same day, he loses a match he’s significantly disadvantaged in = goes back to being overrated…
If there’s anything people hate more than successful Japanese people, it’s successful French people.
All they do is run, Luffy proves this to be true.
I think people hate Rose more than Luffy and I understand that. As a french dude, I’ve seen luffy win everything in europe for 4 years doin’ backdash u2 twice a round… even I am tired of that, big time.
Momochi is playing classic Street Fighter, while we all play herp derp. Smug lacks experience, but then again, he won’t improve unless he gets his ass whooped. Same can be said for Snake Eyez. They’re both great players lacking experience.
I’m getting tired of seeing Evil Ryu, it’s not like I’m seeing combos after an axe kick.
