Point taken, Lee Chung is worse but at least no one lets Lee Chung commentate EVO.

I haven’t been around long enough to know who he even is, but by the sound of the crap he talks he’s not good at any of the games he commentates on.
Did he use to be great at ST or some other old school game? The fuck is the deal with him?
People put Ski on because he’s always willing to commentate and nobody else steps up for very long.
Seriously, that’s the reason. That’s always been the reason.

Really never understood the hate for Ski even though his voice pisses me off.
He’s nasally, and yells, but I think there are 5(?) active commentators who are better than him for english sf4, and dozens who are worse.
Bandwagon hate. Not the best commentator, but most people “hate” him because they’re sheep. Nowhere near as bad as people make him out to be.

RMZ, Infiltration, Hurricane.
People are clueless against her.
Skisonic is one of the few MvC2 commentators that is actually good too.
I’d surely take him over “yo ullll behave yourself” stuff all day.
I don’t like Skisonic’s commentary because he provides fake hype. Dude’s voice will go higher and higher even when there is nothing going on. And it’s especially annoying when he does all that and sounds exasperated over nothing

I’ve definitely had the displeasure of hearing Skisonic on the mic for a 3s tournament. like damn if you don’t know anything about a game do you really need to be on the microphone??
on the whole I think SF4 has some good commentators. UltraDavid and James Chen certainly do a good job being the face (voice) of major fighting game events. the lend a sense of professionalism, polish, and credibility to events they work.
Dr Sub Zero was the best though.
Dogface was way better than Ski.
