I’m surprised he wasn’t doing this before EVO. I heard he had a donation drive to try to get to EVO this year but it didn’t reach its goal. But I don’t remember him streaming at all. You want the stream monsters to help you then you have to put in the time. Better late than never I guess, if he can make some spare change doing this then I don’t blame him or anyone else for doing it.
Native doesn’t block, that’s his problem. If he refined his game and evolved a little he’d be so scary but his game hasn’t changed much but lucky for him Hawk has improved so subsequently he’s improved. He’s way too aggressive and tries to spd everything. Plus he mashes and churns like an online scrub. He has almost zero defense and footsies so if he’s improve in those areas he’d be so much better.
He played every single matchup the same, get into a certain range and churn. He does take advantage of T.Hawks high health & high stun like he’s supposed to though. And it’s not so much that he doesn’t have footsies but more so that he plays aggressively and refuses to block. I wish he played more patiently like HungBee
For the most part I agree but I do think he has footsies, though. At least he looked like he did in game 5 in that set with Ricky (which, I should mention, has TONS and TONS of Condor Spire whiff punishes, despite the fact that Condor Spire is some kind of scrubby unstoppable move or something).
Lol, the way Native was using condor spire you’d think it was. Obviously it’s pretty free to whiff punishing but Native kinda got carried away with it, especially against Ricky where he should have been more patient (he himself did some nice whiff punishes on Rufus’ cr.hp), dunno if it was the pressure getting to him but he was spiring from really bad ranges where it would whiff right into Rufus’ st.mp range, same vs. Smug and Dudley’s st.hp.
But T.Hawk can use his condor spire now (well he always could kinda) like some kind of pseudo Bison scissor-kick, and Hawk gets about 5x the reward for making someone block a late active frame spire which it most definitely safe (unless Ricky, Smug etc. just weren’t punishing it for some reason?), seriously it’s a really good move and that’s OK, there needs to be more good stuff like that in the game.
Native himself said he was starting to play a bit silly, he was feeling himself too much. He has gotten much more solid though when he’s playing serious. Especially now that T. Hawk can go full tard, he seems to resist. The only big issue I saw tbh was that he was refusing to block, but again, he said he was feeling himself too much lol.
Now Neurosis losing to that Yun was heartbreaking, but I just rolled my eyes… Bison already had an issue when Yun had a hard time getting in. Kappa
