There are more ranking events being added. Players could potentially accumulate more points than him without winning a qualifying event for example Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz. While others get in through actual qualifiers.
There are still killers outside the Japanese that have not qualified as well…
Xian, Gamerbee, Dakou, Xiao Hai and Gackt for example.
Daigo better start going to these events. Not only is his evil ryu looking suspect, does he have no desire to compete with the best in the world? He stays in Japan training to have the most bp. Only to get blown up by 2 players that dont even play the game full time. I hope he goes to at least 3/5 of the recently announced asia capcom cup events.
He lost to people who have a strong record against him though. FChamp usually does well against daigo when he picks a shoto and john choi is as fundamentally sound as daigo is.

He didn’t go to SEAM2014 CEO2014 Dreamhack. Instead decided to grind up that #1 bp. Tell me that wasn’t a mistake? Momochi went to SEAM and won. Went to CEO and got 2nd. EVO? top8. Does Daigo have no desire to play at capcom cup? he kinda needs to go to events to be able to qualify. My comments about his evil ryu are absolutely true. Sako, PR ROG, KOK all have better evil ryu’s than Daigos. He has underperformed at the 2 big tournaments he has entered as evil ryu.
he played Ryu for at least 5 years + his E.ryu was about a month old ~ at Evo and you expect him to perform as good as with his old main ? give him a break, and we dont know what exactly happened at Evo we all assume that its because he isnt used to E.ryu yet, but might be another thing
You’re really serious? I don’t believe all three of those guys have a better Evil Ryu than Daigo, especially not KOK. He has a good Evil Ryu, but he can’t compete with the best. As for Sako and PR Rog, neither main Evil Ryu. They use him as a counter pick and will switch character with no hesitation if they don’t like the match up. All we’ve seen of Daigo’s Evil Ryu is EVO. Besides that their is the Japan National tournament and although I’m sure you’re eager to bring up his lost to Mago, I don’t think that tournament is even over yet. People who have lost already have continued playing in it so it’s probably not over for Daigo or anybody else who has lost once. I do hope Daigo attends a Premiere Tournament to show he at least gives a damn about the Capcom Cup but if he doesn’t then so be it.
@Shinebox I looked at all the Ranking and Premiere tournaments left. Their are a lot, but they’re all pretty spread out. And the only guys who can keep attending are the sponsored players who are already near the top of the leader boards. I still feel the same way as before, I think trying to get in through points alone if you have under 100 is pointless. Trying to play catch up to Bonchan and Team EG is going to be too difficult. Probably more so than winning a Premiere tournament. You have to try and win a premiere tournament or squeeze in that 15th or 16th spot. At this point if you’re trying to get in through points, you’re better off hoping that Justin or Ricky wins instead of Daigo showing up out of no where and taking the tournament with 0 points to his name before it started.

If that Daigo rumor about the screen lag is true, lmao, if there was lag on any screen at EVO we would have seen a major shit-flinging fest ever since EVO Friday.
Screen lag? Doubtful. I really believe it’s possible there was STAGE lag though since some levels have been known to cause problems for lag and evil ryu is especially troublesome on some stages due to his constant aura thing.
Laggy set ups are more common than you think. Even with the almighty Asus.
I’ve seen consoles with the wrong graphical settings at tourneys. So even tho you got the standard monitor you still get lag.
People bitch and make excuses but it does actually happen.
