USF4 | Stream Commentary Thread

Ive seen dev units from Capcom that had laggy setups. The setup they had on the beta tests was
really laggy, couple of the guys I played a against were complaining.

I agree, laggy setups are not exactly rare offline, I know that. But to think that there could be even one laggy setup at EVO is crazy, we would still be going nuts over the debate it would have fired up.

It really does sound only like an excuse made by a fanboy (BeastNote).

wait what?

can you elaborate?

It’s not screen lag. USFIV will just inexplicably lag on both consoles. I thought it was just PS3 but some people are saying it happens on Xbox as well (I’m not talking about the slowdown that occurs during ultra animations).

its been a couple of years but i went to one out of state and a few of the consoles were set to 1280 x 1024 and/or they were on these higher settings and being played thru component cables instead of hdmi. i cant remember the exact combination of settings, but for sure it was being played on asus monitors, and the settings had it lagging like a mofo

the first time i played USF4 on x360 i couldnt believe the input lag difference with the no Vsync PC version that am used to, its night and day, i felt like my character was carrying a truck while moving, let alone trying to do combos … i though, wait that must be the monitor, ther’s no way the game could lag like this after all the praise i heard for the x360 version

then i switched to a BenQ gaming monitor, holy crap its the same thing, i had to play with Vsync on PC for a week to get used to it when i play offline with friends on x360, and even then, the input lag sometimes is different from a console to another or when it overheat

its a mess

Sako vs Uramakiroll

The 360 version has lag for sure. Furthermoee, during a tournament match I was in the game literally stopped for like a second and a half.

I believe it could be a bug in ultra because I never experienced this before.

The ps3 version was so laggy the last time I used it that it actually looked like both players were stopping their walking animation to make it look jittery.

And still people play.

Stahp already

If that is not Sako that is a VERY good Elena. I have not seen anyone play her that well

I just checked XBL, unless he’s using a different account Sako’s gamertag name is still Sakonoko

what are you guys watching ?

On friday is the first round. In bold are the characters of these players I know, not really sure about their alternate characters and I can´t tell, if these will be used on friday, so there might be a few changes.
PR Rog is travelling and he won´t be there. Just, they need to say at what time this will begin.

Vryu streaming USF4:

Mass Destruction 03

starts at about 7:45 EST

Sanford - Velociraptor set @ HoC: “That sweep’s three frames yo”

Sanford - Velociraptor set @ HoC: “That sweep’s three frames yo”
/headdesk

I can’t decide what’s more dumb

Nick Hero KNOWING that the sweep is actually 3 frame recovery on block, but not caring enough to clear it up on stream

or

Nick Hero legitimately thinking Gouken’s sweep is a three frame startup and not thinking through how ridiculous that would be.
