Finally managed to wrangle the video files of the Tokido-Momochi set off youku. Dear god the start of this set is fast.
That link doesn’t even work for me.
Youku loads for literally half an hour, then stops and the play button doesn’t work.
This is true, Infiltration could troll with Oni. I do hope he picks Oni in the Asia cup but I doubt it.
Those are team based games right? Well warcraft is an MMO I think. I don’t know if everything those types of games do can be transferred. However seeing as I haven’t ever played those games (or similar ones) could you explain further?
Warcraft 3 is NOT an mmo, it’s a single player RTS with a couple of RPG elements thrown in for good measure.
In those games you got grade A online play (well, Wc3 is a little laggy by todays standards), ladders, chatrooms, guilds/teams, promotion for upcoming e-sports/competitive events, you can spectate games played on LAN within the client and God knows what else.
Compare that to SF4 where you got a whole lot of nothing and online play with lagspike and nobody who takes care of cheaters or promotes events and you can see where I’m coming from when I say modern fighting games aside from Skullgirls look like straight from the 90’s in terms of features and support.
Yeah the games themselves are nice, but the infrastructure they’re put in is complete dick.

Put the link on www.flvcd.com. Wait. Is slow. Works.
Thanks a bunch, you’re my hero!
Still there is a huge difference between those types of games and fighting games. You can get several frames of lag and it won’t effect anything, same with starcraft, etc. However every frame is vital for fighting games. Skullgirls does it right using rollback so u don’t have to change the timing of your inputs. However I agree with you in that more online features would certainly be welcome.
God damn it that Momochi vs Tokido series was among the most tense shit I’ve seen.
That was like the ultimate footsies and mindgame war.
If every series in Topanga league is that amazing, I’m jelly that I’m not Japanese.
I’m half awake watch me lose a ft5 in half an hour.

I’m half awake watch me lose a ft5 in half an hour.
Who of these players are you?
I play after this set.
Good luck, except if you play Cammy/Sakura/Akuma.
Oh damn, well played.
You guys are fucking good at this game.
I hate that f.dash into buttons is a legit strat online. Offline I just stuff that shit on reaction, and after he wasn’t able to get anything started in neutral without FA or me messing up and sliding into fireballs(cause you have to late slide ryu from a lot of ranges and online is goofy) I’m a bit salty.

New mexican major coming in 3 weeks, this time in Mexico City (My City!), SnakeEyez, Justin Wong, PR Rog and Ricky Ortiz will be coming along with most of the mexican top players (Master, Gama, Chris, Goro, Deadmaker (the Hakan who beat Nemo at EVO), Jazdero, along with some others that I’ll post here once I know who’s coming for sure). There will be AE, UMvC3, MvC2 (!), KoF XIII, DoA5, Mortal Kombat and Brawl. There will apparently be 3 streams, I’ll post that stuff here once the event gets closer and I get the links.
Look out for Shivers (using Zangief).
Just wanted to add that according to the organizers of the event, this just became the first Road To EVO 2014 tournament with seeding points in both AE and UMvC3 (not for KoF though, which intrigues me since I want to see KoF at EVO).
Mexican tournament. Doesn’t seed KOF. Does not compute.
I think it has to do with KoF not being a certain pick for EVO 2014.
How could KOF not being a certain pick ?
It’s been the most hyped game outside of AE and Marvel for a few years now.
Because entrants.
Ah…
Yeah, I can see that be a problem. KOF is awesome to watch but since it’s kinda hard to be good at it, not many people are entering I guess.
3rd Topanga A League
Fuudo vs Dashio was pretty good
Momochi outplayed mago, moving so much better
but wao really left me speechless… he just DESTROYED Haitani!!
