I just watched that.
Wao took an insane amount of risk with his DPs, but it worked out for him.
Being reckless with DP is a legit strat against Mak but since he can’t FADC them on block, it’s really a huge gamble.
Also, it seems Oni has a good counterpoke against Makoto’s crMP and Haitani wasn’t ready for it, his spacing wasn’t great for the Oni match up imo. He was in the same space as against Ryu and I think a bit farther is better against Oni.
I don’t see Wao winning so easily next time they meet.
Didn’t see the other ones, just commenting on his match against Haitani. He did a lot of risky DP.
Doesn’t make him a lesser player, Daigo does the same thing, it’s part of what you do to make rushdown character respect you sometimes.
The Top 3 from B League have gone quite well to say the least… Wao has been wow, Michael-tan won the best ken face off and dismantled Fuudo’s Fei Long, Dashio should be 2-1 instead of 1-2 if he didn’t drop his combos against Daigo, heck Daigo should be 0-3 really, but firstly Kazunoko choked away 2 games and than Dashio 1.
And if Michael-tan beats Mago when they face of that’s 4-0 for Ken vs Fei Long in this tourney.
It’s called being human. I could give you many examples where players messed up combos or anti-airs allowing their opponent to get wins in basically every Topanga A League match so far. A win is a win.
that one was free to view (the first xx minutes of the streams were open, then switching to paying users only).
Eventually they’ll end up somewhere, but probably not on youtube which usually deletes copyrighted stuff
