USF4-PC on Steam is SUPERB NOW? *GASP*

I play with V-Sync on, frame rate fixed, never had a problem getting 120+FPS max settings
on this old PC i have had since 2011. Those settings feel even more smooth now, especially after this update when they fixed the V-Sync, too bad every single other thing about this update is shit.

AMD radeon HD 7850 2 gigs of GDDR5
AMD Phenom II x6 core 1055t @ 3.3 ghz
8 gigs of standard desktop 1333mhz ram
corsair semi modular 650 watt bronze
forgot the motherboard

Let’s not spread misinformation, shall we? SF4 is a DirectX 9 game (meaning it uses no features whatsoever found in DirectX 10 and beyond).

The performance issues in menus and such are just some coding disasters. There is no miraculous solution that would solve that right now, people. The hardware is completely fine. No need to get paranoid over your own PCs. The release is in 2 weeks. Patience, a’ight?

Love you <3

My bad. I didn’t know if it was possible to use DX11 in a DX9 game or not - hence, my question was asked. Just did some searching and it seems like even if you could, you wouldn’t want to.

i just noticed that if i leave a flash video playing ( twich, youtube … wait youtube isnt html5 ??! ) on the background, the game will lag randomly, its fixed if i minimize the flash video

It’s hilarious how people are doing every little thing possible to make this game close to the " godlike" GFWL experience, yes i dare use them in the same sentence mothefuckers, this game’s online is really THAT bad now.

facepalm

this is the exact thing you shouldn’t do. Flash is a CPU hog, SF4 is very sensitive to CPU usage spikes (game not optimised for multicore CPUs and coded like ass).

and what is this? we furries now?

i close my browser when i play now, i played two guys from UK yesterday, it was smooth, not sure if they had good internet or if its because i switched my router to bridged

The only time I have issues, aside from the rare 1-2 sec lag spikes (because internet) is when I’m running xsplit and have my stream on twitch pulled up and both are -not- minimized on my other monitor AND the stage is Secret Lab. I get some fps drop occasionally when all those things are present.

i5
GTX560
16 gigs of ram

0 tweaks, just running it as it is after downloading it from steam.

ATI cards have issues doing anything properly. I bought one bc it was cheap last year, saw my games do all types of graphical garbage they never did before, took that trash back and went Nvidia. ATI has been producing buggy graphics card trash for the last 10 years idk how they stay in business.

my hd6870 and hd4830 runs SF4 without any problems when v-sync is turned off. I do not notice any screen tearing, despite the game running at 220 fps with fixed frame rate enabled

haha, my friends updated to Steam version
all of them with 100 Mbits connections and powerful specs… now they’re cursing up and down of how badly the game runs online

i fear that when Ultra drops, we’ll still be playing AE on GFWL… 10 more years

Count one person less on your “we”… I am sure playing Ultra in 10 days! _

guys you should try to run your router on Briged mode

Skullgirls, KOF13, (any other decent p2p game) doesn’t have any problems… AE GFWL still works well

im not gonna waste time looking for fixes when it’s Capcom’s fault… they even said they’re looking into Steamworks connectivity issues in the patch comments from last month
not to mention they killed SFxT with that buggy netcode that never got fixed. what a trackrecord!

can’t believe i was stupid enough to buy Ultra on PS3 and pre-order it on PC too. got burned twice, never again

It should be fairly obvious to everyone by now that the AE2014 port was not properly tested in-house. We are the beta testers for the Steamworks port. It’s not ideal, but it is what it is. If after August 8th, the PC port of SF4 doesn’t work correctly, we can raise our pitchforks again. But until then, it is not an efficient use of our time as nothing will come of it. QLOC and Capcom almost certainly expected some bugs and are in fact working on fixing them: http://steamdb.info/app/45760/history/

Our complaints about performance and netcode have been acknowledged by Capcom representatives multiple times and they have stated that they are working to address the problems. That’s pretty much all we can ask of them until August 8th.

I went to my router settings and I don’t see any option for bridge let alone the actual word

don’t you need 2 routers to run bridge mode? that’s how i did it in the past but now i only have one.

it probably dosnt have it, or just google your router model + bridge mode, but be aware that you’ll not be able to use Wifi and some other settings while in bridged mode ,its as if you are nearly bypassing your router

also we should create a thread with a more serious name dedicated for the Steam version so it get pinned , or rename this one
