I thought I was going to have an awkward time with having Ultra on PS3 and AE on Steam, but if Steam is as unplayable as people are saying I guess I’ll just stick to PS3 for now until Ultra comes out on Steam (hopefully fixing any issues if its not fixed by then already) Which solves the issue of getting confused jumping between Ultra and AE xD
I’m just going to say it again, but is this an American thing or something? I play with people in the UK, Sweden, Spain, France, more france and germany.
Amazing online, no error messages, minimum delay, smooths to near perfection after a couple of seconds. 30+ games not a single drop in quality.
Interesting, they definitely changed the netcode for the PC version 2014 if its in Ultra also.
I’m seeing loads of “Waiting for the other Player…” box pop up.
I tired to play a guy who I played 2 weeks ago in Germany. We played 50 games on GFWL but when I tired to play him on PC Steam version 2014,
not a single match could be played. I wonder if its something to do with if the other guy has a slow net connection and theres a mismatch ?
No its not an American thing, I have 160 mbps down / 12 mbps up and I get lots of lag and “waiting for other player…” popups.
They must have changed the net code in Ultra because the steam version is Ultra SF4 net code engine but still Arcade Edition.
The region part is the most frustrating part of this change for me. I have tried multiple download regions but it does nothing for my game searches. I never find anyone under “same” and mostly nothing under any as well. I am fortunate if I even see one lobby as with GFWL my list always had 3 to max lobbies.
her’s a fix to mute the announcer during battle in versus and multiplayer online , ive spent hours trying to find the freaking audio files to check them and see what the fuck is happening with him, but when i finally managed to find them, they seems to play normally when used outside the game, they dont have any level problem, so it might be something script wise , so i though that i will just replace files with blank audio

at least before when I was getting the message box pop up, it was when the connection was bad. when the connection was good it was near lagless. better than GFWL with great connection.
now its just unplayable.
so they stabilized the netcode but at the expense of making every single match slow as snails.

First and foremost I can play GFWL AEPC flawlessly…so let’s talk about Stream ._.
It’s really choppy even if I play at a low res. I have a 25/5 connection. I do not get the “Waiting for Players” msg anymore but now it’s just choppy…sometimes the game will lag to the point where I can’t move but my opponent can and visa versa. I never had that issue with GFWL unless I YOLO and play a solid red bar connection. I haven’t given up yet, I’m still lying to myself saying maybe it’s my rig…

What I’m saying is that both PC and console are the same now since they’re both ass and every issue people are getting on Steamworks is the same as on console.
