My region was set to United Arab Emirates for some reason. Now I finally find matches.
I don’t know who you people are that are getting “good” matches. Every single game I’ve played so far has been notably worse than GFWL. It hitches very frequently.
That dialog box for lag burps needs to either be gone or be moved from the center of the screen, but I haven’t had any super big issues running Arcade Fight Request and playing randos.

One thing I absolutely hate is the Region lock. I set my area as Australia on steam so i can download off less populated servers (really helps when downloading something that thousands are getting at once, such as a counter strike patch). I could never find matches, and I thought my game was broken. I reinstalled and it didnt work, so i sat in a lobby for about 5 minutes, then randomly, some australian dude joined me and we were so laggy it couldn’t connect. Then I went to find a match, and I eventually found one, and it was an australian guy, so i went back and set my area on steam to my actual area.
This is a big problem for be because i really like playing canadians and mexicans. I would say 1 in every 5 of my matches comes from outside of the United states. Some of my favorite opponents came from Canada. I live in the pacific Northwest, so i lag less with Canadians than East Coast players a lot of the time. Valve/Capcom should really look into this.
I am in Toronto and I was getting USA flag matches last night.
Beat the game in arcade mode the other night, noticed that the voice actors for Poison, Hugo, Decapre etc were all listed in the end credits.

Yes, steam version is the base for ultra with all of the content removed. I actually mentioned earlier in this thread that there is references in the hex data to the 5 ultra characters.
I’ts no surprise that you’d find stuff like the VA info in the credits.
so my feeling of the game being slow wasnt completely false, it actually does not register fast input, other players are complaining about this on steam

Try doin the Focus Dash Shortcut online. If you do it fast your char will just whiff focus or perform a normal…
when i try to do lp. lunge punch with Yun after ex. dp kick, he just stand there looking … you have to do everything slowly
^Could also be a sign of less input/display lag, depending on your system; if you’re relying on visual cues and doing something too early, you’ll just notice a missed link, etc.
Needs legit testing, too many interpretations and people riding the complaint wave, otherwise.
guess what… that “waiting for player” mid-match nonsense is in Ultra too
my guess is they slipped some Ultra netcode tweaks into AE Steam version to prepare it until Ultra gets on PC as well
I saw that today on stream, it’s on the 360 and PS version. I don’t think people are just raggin’ Capcom just for the hell of it. We have legit reasons to why we are bashing this release. I can literally go play GFWL right now with no issues. Then load up Stream-AE and magically 10 issues appear. This is beyond internet provider issues, it’s their hidden ghetto xTK netcode ver. 2014
…you guys really need to change your definition of what a playable online fighting game is to something other than “it’s smooth”.
I played Ultra on XBL last night and it was exactly the same horrible constant input delay.
Getting so tired of this. Get a terrible transition to steam, somehow they managed to make it worse than GFWL on top of not getting Ultra for an extra two months. I’d prefer they just gave us a big fuck you PC players tbh. How on earth do other publishers manage to release a PC version at the same time as consoles I wonder?
