With me putting my two cents in of the SF4 series. I honestly don’t think it’s boring. I think it’s boring playing people online a billion times in row. When playing it with friends and in person with you guys it’s much much much much more fun. I enjoy playing in person better than online. There is absolutely no lag and it makes you a better player in my opinion just cause you can actually discuss the game like you used to could back in the day with the people you were playing. WHEN YOU ACTUALLY HAD TO PLAY TOGETHER TO GET REAL GAMES IN!!! So with that said, I’ve struggled finding a character to play in this game for a WHILE. But finally! Finally! A character is coming out who I really enjoy and that would be YUN! XD I’m so stoked to finally play a character i like and actually is REALLY GOOD! I knew good things would come my way eventually with this game! and I’m not playing him cause he is the best. I’m playing him cause I actually like the character and I played him in third strike. So i’m hoping that some of his stuff trades over to this game with some new things as well. So, Im pumped!

I do think i will enjoy AE more because i have heard gief plays more like super turbo geif, which is all i ever wanted.

ok 360 it is, Shamar and i signed the papers today the room we are getting is 3000 square feet!! i am going to try and list it today.

Majors are going to be Marvel 3, SF4 AE, and MK9 as well as teams of all the games. Teams on MK9 are going to be 4 player Tag which should be fun.
the best thing about having so much space is we can run as many side tournaments as we want. I have reserved 30 rooms for us and we have the Ball room till Midnight!
i am going to print over 2000 flyers for this, does anyone know any store owners that would let me place them in their store? i am already doing one at videogame cavern and the comic shops in greenville, can we put them at planet? anywhere else?

i am really excited about this and i really hope the community comes together on this, this should be really exciting. Mark your calendars for JULY 16th.

You’ve definitely have my support for this event and I’ll make sure to update this event on our SCTourney blog and front page of the Columbia thready. Also, are you gonna make a thread on SRK? I’ll once you get that one together, I can make a thread on Eventhubs for you, since people also look there for tourneys.

You can also mark me down for bringing a full setup with MvC3 and SSF4AE. Also, does the venue have internet to provide a stream with? I can also see about helping you with that as well.

yea if you have the capability to stream that would be great the internet is WIFI. i am listing it tonight, and have already lined up a few sponsors. First of all I lined up one that is going to be there repairing consoles. he has a machine that re solders the chip to the board from both sides at the same time. it repairs red ring xbox’s and ps3’s YLOD for $75, i will be having others there as well so stay tuned.

Alright guys the time is drawing near to the cook out! I just wana give you guys an update! I need to know who is def coming. If you got a friend maybe interested let me know! SO IT’S GOING TO BE SMOOTHING SAILING EITHER WAY. I GOT PRIZE SUPPORT FOR THE TOURNEY AND I’M BUILDING A SPECIAL ONE OF KIND TROPHY FOR IT TO HAHA. IT’S LOOKING PRETTY NICE SO FAR. AE Zangief plays like ST Zangief. Game is cool again, yun is bad ass but i believe his amazingness was overrated. Fei long seams just as good, overall the game seams much less defensive. So far their seams to be several characters that will run the game but it is much faster paced and i will take fun over balance any day. hell even thawk seems good.

The MK patch did wonders for the game - that Cyrax bomb crap has been tweaked, and the damage levels were brought down a bit. I’m a fan of the changes so far.

Guys I need some advice on a good gaming monitor - my LCD isn’t cutting it anymore. I hear Asus is good - anything decent, no lag, fairly cheap? Doesn’t have to be big or anything.
