get the ASUS vh242h it is what they use at evo and is 24 inches and around 150. i have one and it is perfect.

That is all you need but use amazon you can get cables for way cheap and they are just as good!
i prefer VGA to HDMI if you’re using it a lot for fighting games but either one is fine
