Of course my character HAS to suck vs Slinkuns low tiers. Both Guile AND Vega are a tough match for Fuerte.

I think Abel is FREE, he has no threat on wakeup so if that knockdown comes he is going to have to block lucky, EX roll or just take a beating. (No offense hfz, but 60% of Fuerte’s game is revolved around knockdown/wakeup and you should know how bad Abel’s wakeup/crossup defense is) Dhalsim, Seth, Cammy all get eaten up.
I was losing to a Seth today pretty bad, he had me at 20% and he was at 60%… then he got RSF’d, splashed, and then he lost.
Fuerte ties with pretty much everybody else. In my opinion Fuerte beats Akuma because one whiffed DP is not only 50%, even 2 hits and a slide gets him super close to stun. If he doesn’t tie it’s at worst about 6-4, you should like those numbers being that Guile is (lets face it) a pretty shitty character too.
Unfortunately our characters are shitty in different ways, Guile in that he takes a lot of work and can’t do much damage… but he’s pretty safe, and Fuerte in that he takes a lot of work, can do tons of damage… but it’s quite a bit of luck and craziness involved.
I have a hard time with characters that stay in crouch block and do nothing all match, aka all the charge characters. I really wonder how somebody can have fun playing Blanka, sitting on charge all damn day. Oh well, Japanese people!
nah sall good. with enough practice and experience against fuertes, i might be able to come up with ways to beat him. the last time i fought a fuerte weeks(or a month ago?) during the trf tourney. plus fuerte takes damage like crazy.

Your Abel is better than most I fight online, but I still think it is tough for him.

I think abel vs fuerte is an interesting match up. Abel does have EX roll and EX rekka on wake up. Plus i think Abel might be able to punish a blocked splash with ultra. I don’t think Fuerte has great cross up defense either, let Abel run his mixups on knock down. Abel also can use his wheel kick freely. Random rolls might also be ok.
Fuerte is more dangerous up close and obviously has better options to score a knock down.
Abel also has crap for anti air other than a well timed wheel kick, meaning fuerte can get close easily. Its pretty much up to abel to zone fuerte with limited tools, but whoever scores a knockdown gets a strong upperhand here. And Fuerte is just more likely to score one
I don’t know anything about either of them really, but thats my crappy 2 cents of theory fighter.

Grits has a nasty Fuerte, and he was having an off day when we played. I also feel that I’m not playing nearly as well as I was about a month ago, which is really frustrating. My Viper is a lot better, but my execution is absolute shit right now. I have that kind of “lost” feeling when I start to lose that I used to get when I first started. :wasted:

Blah, doesn’t even matter. Walked outside and it was raining at about 630pm. Went back in, got discouraged then realized it was just a passing drizzle and it was really nice out. By then it was like 730 though… no longer worth going out. Sorry if you ending up going hfz.
